I found that the company who manufactures the vehicles is called United Defense and their website is:
http://www.uniteddefense.com/index.htmWhile looking over their website, I decided to find out where they're located to see if they're manufacturing in my state Pennsylvania and your state, Michigan and some of the other states I've heard that this ad is running in. I found that they have divisions that could be manufacturing in Pennsylvania and also in:
Arlington, Virginia
Aberdeen, South Dakota
Louisville, Kentucky
Minneapolis, Minnesota
Aiken, South Carolina
Fayette County, Pennsylvania
Orlando, Florida
Santa Clara, California
York, Pennsylvania
Anniston, Alabama
Now, I would have to research more to see if your state has a possible connection to their manufacturing, but the interesting thing I found is that one of their subsidiaries is called CTC and has their own website here:
http://www.ctcudlp.com/The about us page of that website says:
CTC was established in 1946 as the FMC Corporate Technology Center. Since then, CTC has transitioned from a captive laboratory to a fully commercial operation. In 1997, CTC became a division of UDLP, which is owned by the CARLYLE GROUP, a private global investment firm with more than $11.5 billion of capital under management as of June 30, 2000.
CTC houses 120,000 sq. ft. of laboratory and office space in the heart of Silicon Valley near the San Jose International Airport.
So you might want to tell the person you're debating with that Bush is upset about these vehicles for MORE than just our soldiers' sakes. Bush Sr and Bin Laden family members have ties to Carlyle Group. Tell the FReeper to do some homework on THAT!
