Poppy bush disagrees with idiot son?
Yesterday on one of the infotainment shows - not sure which, they said something about poppy isn't happy with the way his son is handling the war. I must have been switching stations and missed it.

Are there any articles regarding poppy's opinion. Has he said anything? Anyone? Anyone?

2. he advised against it
as did all the other players in pops first war. everyone who was involved knew that there would be big problems if saddam fell without someone to replace him. that is why we didn`t go to bagdad.
there are articles -maybe google?

3. I think they were referring to recent events
including Rumsfeld. Was probably just a quick blip. They sure wouldn't want poppy coming out against his little spawn from hell at this stage of the fiasco. x(

4. A large part of this whole tragedy is that it's just a big FU Dad
Therapy would have been so much less costly.

9. This is very significant, but
gets so little attention. With the president displaying such an axis2 personality disorder, people should recognize that the "hate" end of his love/hate relationship with his dad is causing the deaths of thousands of people. I read once where junior said he wished he was a WW2 veteran. Right. Dad, a man of many sins, was at least gutsy enough to fight in combat situations, and smart enough to get out of Iraq before the USA was entrenched in a situation like we are in now. It's never fun to get stuck in the middle of another families' fight, but that is actually where we are today.

6. Go to thememoryhole.com
There's a passage from Poppy's autobiography which lies out exactly why they didn't invade Baghdad -- reasons, as it turns out, were absolutely correct in hindsight.

Safe to say, after reading that (and Bush's recent comments that he "appealed to a higher Father" about invasion) that Poppy is not in agreement with Junior.

7. I don't believe it for a minute

I think they want to make it seem as though Poppy is trying
to be the voice of reason and raise doubts about the decision
to rush into war. Lawrence Eagleburger even wrote an op-ed
piece for WaPo prior to the start of war saying this might not
be the wisest way to go and this is why we held back ten years
ago blah blah blah. It's all smoke and mirrors.

Guys like Eagleburger (who coincidently served on the board
of Halliburton) are in constant flux between serving in
gov't when (R) is in the White House and then serving in MIC
when a (D) is pres.

This war is just too good for all their portfolios.

The best way to conduct a sting is never let them know
they were stung. By voicing these vague doubts and wringing
their hands ineffectually, they can sit back and watch the
bucks roll in without causing any undue attention to focus
on the taxpayers paying for the destruction and reconstruction
of Iraq while a small, very select handful of pugs get filthy rich
by stealing Iraq's resources and bidding out work to their cronies.
