Declare Victory and Get Out Now!!!!
Before one more human being dies. Get Out Now! They've lied about everything else so tell the world we won and get our sons, our daughters, our sisters, our brothers, our aunts, our uncles, our cousins, our mothers, our fathers get them all out now.

2. I wonder what would happen if they did this
By they you mean the Bush Adminstration. What if they did pull out oall the troops--let's say by the middle of June? What happens next?

Do we basically turn our back on Iraq at that point? Also, will anybody on this board or in the Democratic Party accept giving the Bush Administration an enormous advantage by being willing to pretend that we won in Iraq?

I understand the sentiment, but this doesn't seem very likely.

4. Won't be until July after the handover
and just in time to divert media attention away from the dems convention.

W doesn't give a rat's ass, if the Iraqi's have a civil war or not. As long as the oil wells are secured. That's all that matters.

5. Yeah but
Isnt that a lot like Bush saying "Don't pay any attention to that boring convention. Look over here where I'm finally admitting how badly I screwed up Iraq."

How could he spin withdrawel, even in two months, as a success?

11. A big draw down of troops
will mean a lot of happy reunions. Lot's of big homecomings and parties at all the bases. Fireworks and big banners declaring how great our troops are, etc...

In the meantime, Iraq will fade into the background, while the Press refocuses on the positive images.

3. How do you...
..declare victory and "cut and run" at the same time?

There is no democracy in Iraq. The people are clearly not free. How is that victory? What is needed is a new President, and a new administration, and major shakeups at all levels.

7. What a great idea!
Have a massive ticker-tape parade in New York City with * leading it in an open convertible. Bands! Floats! Balloons! Thousands of marching soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen! Immense banners saying, "Iraq Is Free" and "We Got Rid of Saddam".
