The question on Berg: Who benefits from his video death?
Edited on Fri May-14-04 02:43 PM by harrison
The answer: Bush. This has been bandied about, but who benefits from the timing of the release of this video.

Look, the sharks were circling. Rumsfeld was in hot water. The Senate was holding hearins. Now, where is the torture story? Where is it? Read this snippet from Sidney Blumenthal...

"The fate of the neoconservative project depends on Rumsfeld's job. If he were to go, so would his deputy, the neoconservative Robespierre, Paul Wolfowitz. Also threatened would be the cadres who stovepiped the disinformation that neoconservative darling Ahmed Chalabi used to manipulate public opinion before the war. In his Senate testimony last week, Rumsfeld explained that the government asking the press not to report Abu Ghraib "is not against our principles. It is not suppression of the news." War is peace."

Now, where is the outrage at Rumsfeld? Where is it?

The torture story is being overshadowed by this beheading. They had to do something and they had to do it quick. Everything points up to this being done under the aegis of Americans.

TIMING is EVERYTHING!

ON EDIT: One more thing. Read this story today about the sordid collaboration between American intelligence and the NAZIS. It is a story that has been around a few years.

So, you think getting someone to behead an American citizen is a big deal. Hell folks, our governments consorted with Nazis, for crying out loud.

1. my tinfoil hat picks up the same ??????
and, the MOST troubling item to me is the UTTER disconnect between what the "spokesman" in Iraq says about in whose custody Berg was (Iraqi police???!!!), or what the Berg family and friend of Nick say (the U.S. authorities) ... while it's a no-brainer on who to believe between these 2 accounts, it DOES make me wonder why Asscroft et al. have gone to SUCH lengths to disavow knowledge of Nick Berg's own story of captivity.

Rest in peace, Nick Berg.
