damage between the election and a Kerry innauguration. Probably start drinking again, bigtime. Probably throw several tantrums in some of the nicer rooms and wreck them completely. Unfortunately might lash out at his wife and daughters - who'll both each run for the hills with some boy the first chance they get. Laura will be stuck by herself - probably forced to wear extra makeup and dark sunglasses for a week or so. His aides, meanwhile, will be busy shredding everything and otherwise getting rid of any evidence. And Baker Botts LLP will be busy trying to anticipate a legal defense. I wouldn't put it past some of them to steal a few things, too.
Since this IS a widely-recognized and well-documented vindictive bunch, it wouldn't surprise me if he tried to leave a whole lot of "loaded guns" and other bombs around to sabotage and otherwise screw things up for Kerry, give him a LOT more fires to put out when he gets in - just out of spite. Heck, kkkarl rove will be burning the midnight oil trying to figure out all sorts of revenge maneuvers.
There will be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth for the Pox "news" and limbaugh bunch. It'll be long, mind-numbing, and nauseating, until we start to realize it's actually something to be greatly, if quietly, enjoyed.
And if you remember those bogus stories about how the Clintonites trashed the White House and Air Force One on their way out? While these turned out to be pure fiction, the bushies will leave the White House and Air Force One looking like tornados went through them, AFTER a gang of angry al Qaeda marauders had already ransacked the place.
Wouldn't be surprised if LOTS of files are mysteriously gone, "cleaned," edited, and lots of other revisionist history put into place.
Plus, it could well be that bush will try to figure out some sort of "face-saving" excuse to avoid having to even show up on innauguration day, so he won't have to sit there, over to the side, and watch while "his" divine-right job is given to THAT OTHER GUY. He's of such low character that I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see him call in sick that day. He's never faced up to ANY consequences of ANY of his many screw-ups, EVER BEFORE in his lifetime. Why on earth should he start now?
In fact, the republi-CONS are such poor sports (they KNOW what it's like to be "sore losermans" because they wrote the book on it) that it wouldn't surprise me to see them ALL boycotting the innauguration that day, even those Congressional higher-ups who HAVE to be there.
And frankly, that'd be okay by me. It'll make 'em look bad, and it just means more room for us Good Guys! Fuck 'em. Fuck 'em in the heart.
It depends on how big the loss is. If the margin's not big enough to steal but still not a landslide, he may go out kicking and screaming, and trying to a) lock away more of his presidential papers and other incriminating things, or b) trying to slip LOTS of "fast ones" onto the books, from more bad laws to more bad appointees, while he still has the chance. And watch out for all those pardons!
If it's a Kerry landslide, this bunch is liable to be just completely demoralized, and probably blind-sided and in denial up to the last couple of days before the election. Remember last time, when they kept fighting all the way up til the election, and then bush I went to his place (I think it was Kennebunkport) and Dan Quayle surprisingly went home to Indiana to await the returns? I still remember many pundits saying, in hindsight, that was a REAL tell-tale sign that they knew they were gonna lose. If they thought they had a chance, Quayle would have hung around for the big victory party for "The Ticket." Instead, they both slunk off to their little hidey holes and comfort-stations to lick their wounds behind familiar closed doors. If this happens, they may just let the clock run out and go home early. Most, if not all of DC will come to a stop because nothing will get done. Nobody will be returning calls from the White House. Expect them to completely lose interest. They'll just let it all slide and go to hell, legislatively, internationally, and say "fuck it, then," like the poor sports they are, deep down.
A LONG-WINDED way of saying I, too, wish he was gone NOW. I WANT HIM OUT NOW. Before we have to go through THAT grief, too.
Guess what? Even THAT is preferable to keeping them in power.
