Linda Ronstadt wants Bush Impeached Now
I just heard part of a interview with Linda Ronstadt on some ABC radio show this morning, while flipping the dails. She said we should impeach Bush right away, we should not wait for the election.

Go Linda go!

3. I'd voted for Jerry Brown just so Linda could have been
"First Old Lady". Brother Fred in Tucson will probably be upset that she has said this. Might make him look bad to the other Repubs!!

11. They were never married
thus the "Old Lady". Generic term for wife, girlfriend, etc.
You know like "Who's Making Love to Joes Old Lady", a favorite in the biker bars in the 60s.

6. It's ridiculous
No way to impeach Bush with a republican majority in the House which is where articles of impeachment must come.Rangle said he was drafting papers last week but it's simply an exercise in futility. We MUST get the House back senate would be nice to just in case they steal another presidential election.

9. It may be impossible
But that doesn't mean we shouldn't (repeatedly) say that what he's done is extremely impeachable. Will be be impeached? No. Should he be impeached? Definitely.

they might be the ones to file first.

Nobody likes to be betrayed. And Repugs face re-election, too.

12. Who are you kidding?
(with all due respect)the way they march like little Nazis in lockstep unison? The GOP will NEVER ever ever betray Bush or admit for one second that they might be wrong. All they need to hear are two little words Bill Clinton and they'll get right back in line.

17. It is not betrayal to turn on a betrayer...
I suggest you refer to Hastert's comments last week if you don't think they would dump Bush. And remember what Jeffords did when he got fed up. Don't think a seachange couldn't happen.

24. Remember, it was the Republicans that did in Nixon.
These are politicians. Sure it is unlikely. But if enough of Bush crimes become accepted knowledge, self preservation takes over. Our job is to keep up the pressure.

18. I'm with her.
He's too dangerous to allow him to finish his term in January. He and his minions need to go NOW. I don't know why he was allowed to be in power this long. When he started talking about invading Iraq, he should have been impeached and forced to resign then.

22. thank you malatesta1137 for finding a story about Linda
This is the whole text, it's short (since they know their reader's attention span is inexistent) so you don't even need to go there:

Linda Ronstadt: Impeach Bush 'Right Away'

1970's songbird Linda Ronstadt, best known for her torch song-style and mellow ballads, is working overtime these days trying to persuade her fellow Arizonans that it's time to dump President Bush "right away."

In an interview broadcast on Saturday with WABC Radio's Mark Simone, Ronstadt was in the middle of explaining why she prefers living in Arizona to Los Angeles or New York, when she added one caveat:

"The politics are very conservative here and I'm not conservative. I'm having a hard time sometimes convincing people that we need to vote for a new president," she offered.

When Simone begged to differ, the singer insisted, "We need a different president right away, I think. I think we should impeach this one the next election."

Asked if she could support Sen. John Kerry despite his admission that he committed war crimes in Vietnam, Ronstadt told Simone, "I don't know about that? He might be a little more understanding of what these guys are going through."

25. Yea Linda Ronstadt!
I have always liked Linda's music. Now I see that I can like her politics too. How long now before we hear the old trope, "shut your stinking piehole Linda...only Republican celebrities are allowed to be political."

28. Linda Rondstadt is definitely not afraid to speak her mind.
I remember watching the Tonight show once where she sang and as soon as she was finished she marched right over and got in Robin Quivers' face (who was also a guest) about how, as a woman, she could possibly justify working for a pig like Howard Stern. They broke to commercial and when they came back she was gone.
