before the election. Recognizing that, barring some sort of miraculous events, that it will be impossible for them to win re"election" with this albatross around their necks.

"We realized the Iraqi people needed to self determine blah blah blah." Vote for us!

I would say that we should make the point that despite making efforts to "correct their error" they have proven their lack of worthiness for our trust by involving us in such a disastrous venture, and on a dishonest basis too. They need to be voted out regardless of their actions at this point.

BTW I am just voicing an argument that should be made to potential Republican voters, I know no one here but the disruptors needs any convincing of this.

The Chimpministration is damned if they do and damned if they don't. Iraq is part of the War on Terrah, right? Avenge 9/11, right? We all know that those are falsehoods, but a vast majority of the Repug faithful will spout those two things back at you when you question the War and Occupation.

So, Chimpy panics and pulls us out of Iraq. So now he has LOST a major battle in the War on Terrah (according to his handlers) and his post 9/11 legacy is reduced to the Kabul city-state and a couple of Al Queda captures.

Big whoop. Absolute stinking failure, no matter how you slice it.

When talking to Republicans, I ask them whether they think the Administration is even competant, regardless of the policies they pursue. I usually get some sort of acknowledgement that this bunch is not particularly adept at governance and they leave it at that.

Unless Iraq miraculously got peaceful and had a non-sectarian government, any retreat will be seen as a defeat. He'll lose his last shred of credibility with the sheeple for being strong and decisive.

My officemate is a good barometer of someone who's reasonable but doesn't pay much attention and so can be misled. Just the mention of the possibility that he'll back out of Iraq now makes her head turn on her shoulders with fury.

let's say that George BeelzeBush is really just a front-man for the corporations he is representing. He got us into this war so they could profit immensely. Arms dealers, military suppliers, private mercenary contractors. Translators, food preparers. Don't forget building contractors to rebuild the country after we tear it up. Banks, businesses. Even dog kennels, apparently.

The war is going badly. The shit has really hit the fan. Public sentiment is at an all-time low. Will he pull out? No. Why not? Because there is no cost to the corporations for doing that. They profit as long as WE'RE IN THERE.

They're not bearing the cost of this project. The American taxpayer and the young men & women are. It's in the corporations' best interest to stay there, even if it falls to shit.
