whoaa... Geraldo is skeptical about the whole Berg story
Edited on Sat May-15-04 09:13 PM by TheWebHead
on now on Faux...

partial transcript:

Still the government denies it had berg arrested. As to miss pain, the government says she gave out bad information. Really? Wouldn't you like to hear the sum of it from her under oath? And if he was being held by the iraqis, why was he released one day after his family file aid federal lawsuit here against our government, demanding just that, that he be released? And what was berg doing in mosul? The first place? Certainly not pedalling computers or repairing the done try's infrastructure. However adventurous he might have been, he had to know it was a deadly place. One small example, just three weeks before his arrest in mosul, we were almost killed there when our convoy was attacked. You don't have to be a fevered conspiracy theorist who look at this tale with skepticism bordering on disbelief. Don't get me wrong. This creep zarqawi should burn in hell or here on earth for what he did to this kid. But even if I'm wrong about there being more to this story than we're told, but nick berg was a young man whose reckless sense of adventure borders on the suicidal.

...In another strange development, the philadelphia inquirer reported that berg was picked up in iraq with a quran that aappeared to be antisemitic in tone. Berg was a practicing jew. Now sources at the F.B.I. Tell us that the agents interviewed berg three times in iraq. And during the course of his questioning, berg volunteered to the agents that he had been quizzed before by the F.B.I. In the use about moussaoui after 9-11. That led to more intense grilling. Agents found it odd that berg was travel ago loan, and his link to moussaoui raised a red flag....

...The attorney general's emphatic denial. No ability to support that contention does not believe it is a valid one. That doesn't sound like a rip-roaring vehement denial of any shadowing aspect of the story to me.

herridge: No, it sounds in part when the lady doth protest too much. It is one of those they had certain suspicions about him. The connection to moussaoui seemed out of the norm to him.

4. Oh well, there's big news!
I won't watch Fox so I'll take your word that Geraldo is skeptical, but the thing that comes to my mind is all his reports that are skeptical too!

This one doesn't even reach my radar screen.

8. I cannot believe it..........
but I agree with the traitor!

There is definitely more to this story AND he was suicidal to do what he did over there. By that I mean he just was not the least concerned for his own safety for some reason. Too many strange angles.

9. Voice print analysis of "zarqawi" on the tape and known actual
recordings of him would be quite interesting. I'll bet they don't match. Then what?

10. Voice not Zarqawi's
NOT ZARKAWI's VOICE
CNN. An article on CNN's web site indicated that "CNN staff members familiar with Zarqawi's voice say the voice on the tape does not match his." ( See http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/05/11/decapitation/index.html ) Given that this is not the first time al-Zarqawi has been in the news, it's quite possible for media types to be familiar with the sound of his voice, particularly video-tape editors.

14. Thanks!
So, hasn't our government already stated it was al-Zarqawi? If so, why?

Without trying to devine the who, we should be outraged if this administration has pinned this on AQ without proof. At the very least, it is sanctioned disinformation....probably to distract from the prison abuse story.
