Does Lou Dobbs have a solution to the Outsourcing "Problem"?
I don't watch his show anymore, I used to a few years ago but as of late I've been cable news free, but I've heard he's apparently appalled at the natural progression/flight of Capital from one source of labor to a cheaper source. It's "No Brainer 101" really.

What gives? Has he gone all "Fair Trade" or protectionist? Does he seem surprised that the WTO would lead to this? Is he shocked that Tech jobs can be outsourced in the first place?

Was he pro-NAFTA when that meant the immediate loss of manufacturing jobs back in the mid-90's? I would guess he was gung-ho on it.

Does he ever comment on the root/systemic of the problem at hand or does he just wax poetically about "Job Losses To Overseas Markets"?

I'd like to hear if he's got any solutions that make sense, why? Because millions of drones listen to him, not because he's f'ing brilliant...

Why does a natural product of the "Free Market" bother him so?

1. A journalist is supposed to talk about problems, not
A journalist is supposed to talk about problems, not declare solutions.

Unlike some talk show hosts, he's a journalist, not a commentator.

3. Yes and no. A newscaster is different than an editorial opinionist.
One tells you that a fire has been contained on 4th and Oak, the other analizes crap, which is what Mr. Dobbs is paid to do.

2. The Bush misadministration gives tax breaks to those who move
Is that part of the "free" market? I doubt that Adam Smith would defend the present outsourcing model.

4. On yesterday's (Friday) show, he did a long interview...
...with the Governor of Pennsylvania who recently refused to sign a letter giving free access to Mexico and Africa to compete for existing jobs in his state. He will honor the agreement only with Australia, a country that has enacted level playing field regulations in their trade agreements (comparable worker wage, benefits, and environmental protections).

IIRC, he was joined by the governors of 7 other states in his refusal to bow down to the GOD OF FREE TRADE.

Sounds like a good start to me.
