Talk about sappy jingoistic cartoons!

I don't know whether to laugh hysterically or vomit...

"Through obedience" indeed... As I've always said, "Bush is not a genius for leading people. People are geniuses for wanting to be led."

And why does *, in this loonytoon, look like 'Reverend' Moon, if not Ho Chi Minh?

1. gotta be satire... that line is pretty "The Prisoner"-ish!
"A still tongue makes a happy mind."

"Questions are a burden for others."

5. Especially when these moronic repukes say
Edited on Sun May-16-04 12:15 AM by HypnoToad
"Hard work will make you rich!"
"Innovation will make you wealthy!"

And so on.

Last I recall, obedience is the antithesis of innovation. Obedience tells people to follow their lead. Innovation creates.

As for hard work, it's only worthwhile if we get something back from it, yes? That rugged invidiualistic spirit of doing hard work to help a big corporation only get bigger as it buys out and destroys the smaller competition... :eyes:

As for "The Prisoner" reference, you're spot-on. Great show, but I never expected to be living in a Village containing 300 million people and ran by the epitome of Village Idiots...

6. well, the site in the URL is
RW loony stuff...

this little snip about Kerry from the home page....

Of course Senator Flippy fails to realize that when Clinton and his penis left office we hadn’t been the victims of a sneak attack that killed 3000 of our countrymen, in fact it almost seems as if he is making the case that we should have done nothing after 9-11 to keep “American(s) in uniform (from) dying in a war”, I’m sure that’ll endear him to everyday Americans.

Particualrly with the rest of the cartoon looking like those old Communist propaganda posters with the soldier and the blue collar worker appearing together. :scared: Put this thing on a red background and it would be perfect.

8. They're evangelical Christians...
You see them at church, waving their hands and expressing looks of "duh" on their faces when a reeeeeally good song gets played...

The pic bugs the hell out of me too.

Worst of all is where I found it from, they're a bunch of raving nutters over there...

His visage rises majestically out of the mountains, those creations of God which are nearest to heaven. The throngs gather from far and wide to hear his message.
