people who start these "Oooooo you wouldn't believe what somebody on some tv show just said about something" would provide some details. That would be nice.

Me thinks she's been giving him major hell. Maybe he does have a little bit of conscience left....

I remember when he hosted "Talk of the Nation" on NPR - he was a complete right-wing shill at that time and he didn't last long - probably because so many people, (myself included), took the time to write letters and complain about him.

Even plenty of right-wingers are pissed about the tortures. Only the soulless neo-cons are defending it.

However, my guess is that Williams, as the child of immigrants (his parents are from Panama), has bought into the "everything America says/does/is all about is right" mythology. At least professionally, he has been made to believe that the "conservative" point of view on all things is what is going to get him ahead in life -- although, from what I have seen of him and heard from him with regards to his knowledge of the African American experience, he comes correct most of the time.

I don't know about his personal life, but I do believe that he does look at himself in the mirror every morning and realizes that the right wing he champions professionally does not give a damn about him and others like him. Just my .02.

I can't help but think that Juan just crumpled his half-empty Kool Aid cup and threw it in Kristol's face.

At least, I hope so.

has given him hell about the Bushies since the selection (by his own words, as I heard him discussin her and her opinions on an NPR piece not long after the selection).

God, we really do bend over backwards to give folks benefit of the doubt, but does this mean only the females in his family have the ability to "think for themselves?" Poor wittle Juanie.... I hope he has had an epiphony, but I think he must be held responsible for allowing himself to buy in to that crap (or having sold out for professional reasons--whichever....)
