The media has really pushed me to the breaking point.

I work in broadcasting (for a major television distributor, I'll leave it at that), and I am thoroughly disgusted by the utter complicitness of these corporate whores. Worse, I feel like I'm betraying my countrymen by working to keep this propaganda on-air.

When they cut off Gore's speech the other day, that infuriated me.

So, here are some internal phone numbers. Use them as you see fit. If you feel like making some calls, bitching at some corporate whores, causing general annoyance, well, heck, I can't stop any of ya...

That's quite a list of numbers. You must be really mad. I don't blame you. I used to respect journalists and media. Hard to feel this way anymore.

They never let a Dem finish what he is saying. They talk over the Dem or just switch off to something else.

They are a "24/7" "news" venue, but their favorite phrase.. is ..."We're outta time"...10 seconds...what's wrong with American foreign policy"...ooh back in a minute with a breaking story of an outhouse on fire on the Pennsylvania turnpike"..

She got blackballed from the profession years ago for breaking too many corrupt local officials that had her employer in their pockets. She never worked again.

Yeah, I'm mad.

Two questions:

Are these for real?

If number one is yes, then will you lose your job over this if you get caught?

These are not proprietary information, so I don't think I can be fired. More likely that my bumper stickers would get me in trouble ;)

Also, I don't think they can track me down. And if they did...well, I still have to do what I feel is right.

Hey, don't feel like you are betraying your country. Keep a diary of everything that happens ..... keep it at home. Do a running assessment of everything "media" and honestly, in a couple of years, it would be a GRAND gift to your country if you would write a book about this -- and also testify before Congress.

And ya know.....you have a job.....probably feed family members with your earnings.... no doubt pay TAXES that are going to go to the schools (us unemployed folks.....we aren't paying into the school fund! :-( )

Anyways, there are WORSE things you could be doing right now! So...go for a walk and cool down.

I mean...if you dated a diary page and wrote out a description of how it was purposely intended to cut Gore's speech (if that's what happened)......then that's a RECORD of a very biased media.

Free press is mentioned in our constitution for a reason.....and the press has gotten wayyyyy into the realm of unconstitutional. We will need eye-witness inside records when SANITY returns to this country (and it will). To prevent this scenario from happening again, we are going to need to unravel the whole ugly mess -- and you will help with that, right???

So.....consider yourself an operative for democracy!!! And get back in there and observe some more!!

I'd give my best cat if an insider could tell me whether bookers get de facto bribes from certain entities. A mercedes or a vacation in Paris could buy an awful lot of influence.

Let me tell you- I feel the same way. I've programmed the cable news channels right off the TV (along with the Pat Robertson & the spam channels). I just can't watch the stuff- it's not only bad for the blood pressure- it's nauseating. I get tips on shows from here and a couple other sites on what's worth watching... and of course, I'm appreciative to all the posters here who watch and/or listen all the garbage... so I don't have to!

But I have been known to make an occasional call or fire off a letter or e-mail... if only for catharsis. :evilgrin:

You're absolutely right! That's why www.TvNewsLies.org has been fighting corporate media lies since it was set up in April! Thousands of people have joined the email campaign on the site.

All you have to do is send the Open Letter on the site to the four major news anchors, asking them to restore integrity to broadcast journalism.

The email links are right there. Numbers count. Think of how the email campaign to stop the FCC did the trick. Legislators consistently said they were bombarded with email. We can do the same.
