5. That would be the incident where Powell's aide turned the camera away
from Colin right in the middle of the interview and proceeded to end the interview right then and there. Powell protested that they weren't done with the interview yet. 'Emily' was heard saying, "They're going to edit it", as if she expected NBC to take Powell's earlier words and use them against Team Bush. Powell finally raised his voice, "Emily get out of here". "Turn the camera back".
Russert was pissed. McCain made a joke about it later. Hilarious.
What was that you were saying about the Bush administration being 'Press shy'?

of shamelessly supplicating before every Bush administration official, towing the party line to a brown-nosing tee, he gets treated like some cub reporter for the Nebraska Herald by a state department press flack.

9. looks like the admin has Powell on a short leash
but we sorta knew that already. That 'Emily' used to Tom Delay's Press Secretary. So it is like he is under surveillance from her at all times anyway.

14. What was Powell doing when the camera cut away to the palm tree?
This was pretty weird, I didn't think that the question right before the cutaway was all that confrontational compared to what went before. Powell looked like the top of his head was about to blow off.

So what did he do that his handlers cut the camera away.

Giving Russert the finger.

Muttering somenting "I've had it with this shit, I quit." or "F***K that a*****e, Rumsfeld"

Turning green and popping out of his shirt like the Incredible Hulk.
