3. I wonder what they will say to rationalize this
It always floors me how the pundits rush to praise Bush when the market performs decently, but when it tanks they blame anything and everything other than Bush. They talk about how the war is making the market unstable, and how the economy is recovering but still shaky.

Sorry, but it doesn' work both ways. Besides, they can blame the war for the economy if they want, but it doesn't change the fact that Bush started a pointless, unnecessary war.

8. It's Sonia Ghandi, not George Bush
They are afraid that she will be less "business friendly" than Vajpayee. Hence, the world markets are crashing.

6. Government fears hit India shares
I woke up this morning hearing about the India markets wondering if it would ricochet over here in the US. *sigh*

Government fears hit India shares

Mrs Gandhi is expected to be sworn in within days
Indian shares have recorded their biggest-ever fall in a single day's trading amid fears the new government could stall economic reform.

The Bombay Stock Exchange plummeted more than 700 points, a 15% drop, before recovering slightly.
