10. Unfortunately...

AIPAC spend a great deal of time, effort, and money working itself into a position where it is perceived as the "official" spokesgroup for American Jews. In times past it served the community well, but now the Jewish Peace Lobby, the Tikkun Community, and other groups are probably more appropriate voices. Don't turn in your circumcision, but do support these other groups! I hope they will eventually form some sort of umbrella group that will be as powerful as a single voice as AIPAC is these days.

13. Being A Conservative Jew...

I know of these groups and donate and support as well. Also we're active with various local groups that provide alternative funding to groups that used to get a large portion of their funding through the Jewish Federation (AIPAC's main local arms).

I'm sure you're aware of the divisions in American Judiasm and how few organizations speak for many of us who seek a true and just peace in Israel, among Jewish groups here and with the "outside world". I know, I'm dreaming.

Israel is naturally concerned about its security, and when a threat in the neighborhood is lessened or eliminated, of course Israel benefits. Still, for quite a long time at the beginning of his administration this pResident pretty much ignored Israel. I think... I hope... the Israelis realize that whatever perceived "friendship" is in the air these days, it is an opportunistic gesture and not a genuine one. Actually, I'm sort of waiting for the Idiot-in-Thief to make some outrageous statement in Normandy comparable to Reagan at Bitburg.

The local Dem running for DeLay's seat. The pissant extortionist has at least a 10:1 advantage in money, but fundraising for Morrison has really taken off recently.

8. A very curious argument from DeLay.

If we were chosen by God to fight this war on terror, we can only assume that the way we were "chosen" was by the 9-11 attacks. But..but..wouldn't that make the terrorists the instruments of God's will?!?
