Moore's Farenheit 9/11 - The Guardian - Did you guys see this?
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uselections2004/story/0,13918,1218376,00.html
Snip:

Yesterday he said: "When you see the movie you will see things you have never seen before, you will learn things you have never known before. Half the movie is about Iraq - we were able to get film crews embedded with American troops without them knowing that it was Michael Moore. They are totally fucked."

On Saturday he said: "The film is only partly to do with the Bin Ladens and Bush. I was able to send three different freelance film crews to Iraq. Soldiers had written to me to express their disillusionment with the war. It's a case of our own troops not being in support of their commander-in-chief."

He said that at the few low-key preview screenings that have already taken place in the midwest "the reactions were overwhelming. People who were on the fence - undecided voters - suddenly weren't on the fence any more."

4. Disney have made a U-turn apparently...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/3714761.stm

In the US, the film's backers Disney have finally decided to allow it to be distributed, after first imposing a ban.

6. Didn't it play already at Cannes? Wuzzup then?!
No reports, nothing about what the earth shattering revelations were/are. Or did I misread the thing about it showing last night?

7. Gotta love a paper that unabashedly drops the F-Bomb.
If people had paid attention to the message in Roger and Me, the current CEO/corporate scandals may have been diverted. If nothing else, I hope this kills any run by Jebbie.

11. The wrong people will watch it.
Just like the Whole Truth About the Iraq War, we need to find a way to get Bush supporters to watch this. They will not pay money to see a Moore film. We need to get this out to a wider audience!

How to???

14. "Moore Ignites Cannes Audience" (today's Globe & Mail)
Michael Moore lit the powder keg he promised at the Cannes Film Festival: His incendiary "Fahrenheit 9/11" riled and discomposed audiences Monday with a relentless critique of the Bush administration in the post-Sept. 11 world.

If Moore can get the movie into U.S. theatres this summer as planned, the title "Fahrenheit 9/11" could become a rallying cry for Democratic voters in the fall election between President George W. Bush and opponent John Kerry.

I'm sure we'll be hearing more about this.

15. Sounds fantastic, BUT
it's preaching to the choir.

Bush supporters won't see it.
Even independents won't see it because they don't like Moore.

WE'LL see it, but we're already voting against Bush.

Hopefully they will do a lot of news stories about it and maybe show some clips on the news, that's the only way it will reach the people we need it to reach.

16. Still...a movie like this is important FOR THE RECORD...
...because the Right will distort Bush's* record and 'revise' history unless certain FACTS are set in cement.
