Tonight's Bush Fundraiser in Atlanta -- No Press Allowed!
snip......

Unlike most of Bush's fund raisers, his appearance in the home of an Atlanta supporter Monday night was closed to the news media. Bush campaign officials have told backers that the campaign's policy of barring journalists from private homes is one advantage of holding them there instead of the usual hotel ballrooms where Bush raises money.

6. private homes
"Bush campaign officials have told backers that the campaign's policy of barring journalists from private homes is one advantage of holding them there instead of the usual hotel ballrooms where Bush raises money. "
And of course another advantage is, that it keeps journalists from seeing a half-empty hotel ballroom...

Sounds like his cash customers don't want to be seen with him in public anymore....and that some down't want to see him even in private....

The theme at the party is "Greed at all cost" It will be an international who's-who of the top players in the Bush crime family.

17. For some reason, the theme song from the Godfather
just started playing in the background and I swear I heard someone say:

"Someday, and that day may never come, I'll call upon you to do a service for me. But, until that day - accept this check as a gift."

13. I think this means no Press inside. Supposed to be protests outside.
I bet the Press covers them! They covered at least some of the protests when Shrub came to Atlanta on MLK's Bday.

I also bet the $$ keep flowing in Buckhead. I think this is closer to the core of Bush supporters.....seems to be even stronger than Texas.

With no press inside, Nardelli will be holding the two story beer bong for * to drink/smoke/chase women and generally party it up like it's 1972 all over again.

18. Booze??? Most of my Ga. neighbors say that's EVIL!
Any booze is the liquid of the devil!

I've been told that for years....even by the ones who are stupid enough to use transparent trash bags! They don't realize you can still read Budweiser through the bag!!!!

This is really true, and constantly keeps a grin on my face.

29. I'm in a suburb of Atlanta.....about 50 miles north of Airport
A;most all my neighbors are very serious Baptists?? who believe the most important duty of each week is to attend services on Wed., Sat., & Sun.

When we first mooved here 4 years ago, a few came to the door to invite us to join their Church. When I told them "Thank you so much, but we are Roman Catholic and have found a Church nearby" they spun around to leave my porch so fast I thought they were going to fall down the steps! I later heard from someone else that Catholics are considered to be cultists. I'm a Yankee, and I never heard that one before,, but I guess it's pretty common knowledge in the South.

30. I work on Alpharetta...
at least for a few more days. :) I have heard the reactions you mention about Roman Catholics. Good luck to you and don't let those kind of reactions color everything negatively for you (hopefully it hasnt!) as the South is a great place to live.

Cheers!

34. Heck your neighbors just drive to my side of town to do their boozin'
One of the oldest jokes around here is when the Southern Baptist says: "I can't go to the liquor store, someone from church will see me!" Where are you? Woodstock or Alphyretter? I'm actually in a south east subburb - serious knuckle draggers down here! LOL

27. You are most welcome !
Everytime he comes here....I cringe ! I actually was in the same building with the monkey at Eglestons when our grandson was operated on and while he pitched his tax cut, they held Chris in a hallway hooked to an IV after an 8 hr operation. My hubby a VN combat vet
and 100 percent disabled from PTSD pushed the gurney to the elevator and said to SS "We ain't waiting for this CLOWN !" No kidding I told this on Guy James Show. He said loud enough for Monkeyboy to hear..He aint my president and I said, This is a hospital not CNN.
Secret Service didn't stop us. Of course this was right before 9-11.
Now we are probably on their enemies list !

28. He was riding a bus around my neck of the woods last week
but Wisconsin cities and towns are charging his campaign for the use of our public safety folks!

Btw, every American citizen has the right to request that inaccurate information in any type of file be corrected. And it's against the law to abuse security classifications for political purposes.

Your husband's comments are truly held by many other American veterans-the road to peace is guarded by veterans imo.

NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.

that you posted would be about right. I was figuring from my house. Which would be about 170... About 110 or 120 from Atlanta sounds right.

I'm 30 miles southeast of Atlanta, so often it's faster for me to go to Macon, because at least the traffic is less.
