Rush (ala Franken): "Car accidents occur more often than beheadings"
Al Franken just had his dittohead friend Mark Luther on and asked him about a statement Limbaugh made on Friday. Apparently, Rush warned his listeners to be careful about driving since statistics showed that injuries/fatalities resulting from automobile accidents occur much more often than Mideast beheadings...

Rush concluded by saying something to the effect "Sorry to break it to you folks, but that's the way it is..."

Mr. Luther could not explain (the logic of) this statement.

5. I wonder where Brit would rather vacation, CA or Iraq?

And I wonder if the insurgents or Al Qaeda captured Rush if anyone cared if they beheaded him.

If you take the ratio of hostages in Iraq to beheadings and the ratio of drivers to auto accidents, beheading is more prevalent.

But that kind of reasoning takes a little more effort than to just let Rush do your thinking for you.

6. Pigbaugh also said that Berg wouldn't have minded having panties on his
head rather than what he went through.

God help me, I can barely stand to live in a country with such an idiot who even merits breathing the same oxygen as Americans do let alone given air time.

7. So do drug overdoses.
This is weird that he'd say that though, when you think about it. You think he'd be parlaying the beheading into a reason to use more force rather than downplaying it.

9. There are at least TWICE as many beheadings in the Bible as car wrecks

Beheading as a method of killing is nothing new; it has been known in practically every nation that has ever existed (the famous French guillotine was invented to be a supposedly more humane method of execution). There are a number of beheadings recorded in Bible History, the two best-known being David's beheading of the giant Goliath, and the beheading of John the Baptist by Herod Antipas (see The Herods).

10. Of course
Goliath's was a posthumous beheading as I recall

12. Didn't Ezekial have a fiery chariot?
Not sure if it caused any fatal accidents but certainly doesn't sound street-legal.

And how about those walls of Jericho? Knocked down by a trumpet blast! Sounds like the building inspectors must have been on the take.

you're just as dead.
