Mother Teresa
Washington Whispers notes Sen. John Kerry's campaign "has a message for the White House's Karl Rove: Forget Pennsylvania. That's because they're unleashing Teresa Heinz Kerry in her home state, where she's more popular than even former Gov. Tom Ridge, now head of homeland security. Friends say her philanthropic work through the Heinz Foundation has led many Pittsburghers to dub her 'Mother Teresa.'"

1. DAMN RIGHT!
And two years after we toss Bush, we're getting rid of Santorum.

Santorum: Not on my sheets, not in my Senate. :)

3. It probably will, but
If "Mother Teresa" is going to get involved, then she's going to be fair game for Rove nationally. I don't think this will hurt Kerry, but he seems very intent on keeping his wife out of the politics of the presidential race.

8. He does?
You mean Rove can go after her, or that Kerry wants to keep her out of the political attacks? Kerry said several times that he doesn't want republicans going after his wife, but if she's going to start making policy speeches (which I don't know that she's planning to do) then I think she's fair game for Rove.

9. He said "Hands off" her
I agree, if he is going to use Teresa to win PA, then he can't demand that she be treated with Kid Gloves. It's the same way that I always thought some criticism of Hillary! was legtitimate since she was clearly going to serve a role in policy. (Of course, the hatred she generated was insanely out of proportion).

5. She's the secret weapon
I've been impressed with her.

After her Newsweek cover, not ONE(unless they refused to print it and does that mean Newsweek is pushing our side?!)LTTE was negative about her.

7. Terry is a secret dynamo. She's brilliant, astute, sharp, to the point
and speaks her mind, unlike the stepford wife librarian who doesn't read.

Terry Kerry has devoted her life to public service, just like her husband. She's also devoted her MONEY to public service, benefitting millions with her millions to make the world a better place.

She WON'T be spending her time deciding if PEACH is the best color for the Oval Office, or that PETS are the xmas theme.

It'll be a relief to get a REAL woman back in the White House.

10. I don't know if she comprehends, and I sure don't like
her politics; but Laura Bush does read.

Apparently a lot.
