What's the stupidest thing you've heard from a Bush supporter?
After 9/11 I got a Christmas newsletter from college educated friends in Waco (near Crawford) who wrote how safe they felt when they heard military jets flying over.

that they're Bush supporters -- you just can't get much stupider than that.

9. Where do I start?
1) The economy is bad because people stopped traveling after 9/11

2) The country will be fine no matter who is President

3) Voted for Bush because Al Gore said he invented the internet

4) I can't believe people are so stupid not to realize Saddam hid all
his WMDS! (same person who said #1 and #3)

And my personal favorite:

5) We are over fighting in Iraq so some loser can collect a welfare
check

18. Most anything a Bush supporter says is stupid
Edited on Mon May-17-04 04:45 PM by depakote_kid
small minds have little room for thought or reason and no ability to see the big picture-

Since I come from a family full of Republicans, it's hard to know where to begin. I think the stupidest remark must have come from my supposedly college educated nephew- "Al Gore is a liar and that's why voted for Bush- he's an honest, compassionate conservative."

I tried facts and analysis, but to no avail. Some people are just too stupid to listen- even while they're complaining about how they're getting screwed by "the government."

19. Right after 9/11...
a co-worker said, "You know, I didn't like Bush at first, but now that he's going after the terrorists, I do. It shows character. I'd hate to see the same words coming out of Al Gore's mouth."

29. "I agree with what he says"
To which I replied, "such as what?"

to which bush supporter replied "well, im not a policy wonk like you, but I just like him"

and i answered "so you like his personality?"

and she answered, "not especially, i think he's a dumb cowboy, i just agree with him"

I still don't know what she likes about him or his policies except that "a bunch of kids at my school are going to vote for him just because he is the republican running"

so that gave me a hint, i guess...
