Why do Repubs look so uncomfortable talking about equal rights,...
anti-discrimination, integration, and issues traditionally thought of as "liberal" issues. In reality, they are "American" issues. However, when George W Bush and other conservatives talk about equal rights and issues like integration, they appear very much out of character. Why? Because they are?

I was wondering if anyone else noticed this about the Repubs in general. They act like somebody just stuck needles under their fingernails...:) Why is that?

1. Bush always looks like that
Because he's always uncomfortable. You would be too if you got a job that you were ill prepared for, and then proceeded to fuck it up royally. :)
But yeah, I do know what you mean. They get all red and sweaty...

The secret of todays RepuKKKe party is racism, sexism, homophobis, xenophobis and a general fear of the "other".

3. this is the main drawbrack of liberals
that we will tolerant intolerance. I am apart of the school of thought that is intolerant of intolerance. I don't believe in different viewpoints on some issues, such as equal rights. I can't believe my fellow african americans are against gay marriage, yet liberals are afraid to speak up. Where is camille paglia on this, i hope she says something. What scares me is the democratic party elite are hand in hand with jesse jackson and the black clergy who oppose it. Remember 98% opposed interracial marriage in 1950. Also why is it right wingers talk about my people would still be in slavery right now if we listened to courts when it comes to gays and abortion. Yet they never mention brown v board (which is ironic today) and the outnumbering positives? This is why i despise all who vote for these people. Any black person who is or likes a social conservative is sick, Because from 1776- now anyone with a brian knows what that means.

6. Because they don't believe in them
They won't equal rights only when it pertains to them exclusively.
