tweety taking Hersh at his word, so far
he's adopting that aspect of his personality today, unlike yesterday, when he gushed over dumbo's manliness, his likely most excellent speech on Dday (along with the indescribably fatuous Peggy Noonan)

not buying the pentagon denial (didn't hear him beat Hersh over head, anyway)

anybody else watching?

4. I so hope you're right.....though I did hear somewhere the other day
that Hersh is a CIA asset

don't know where, but have a hard time figuring how that fits in with this set of stories

he just said to CM, when asked about how the fighting affects the disparate factions (mainly Sunnis/Shia) WRT their response to occupation:

SH: their tribal system and its bonds have come together militarily now.....all I see is "Lose, Lose, Lose"

he said that while extending all ten fingers to CM each time he said "Lose"

but then, what does he know, right?

the DOD says he doesn't know what he's talking about

just like they did after My Lai

6. I knew they'd get around to it sooner or later.
Or rather, a friend whose uncle was a big man in The Company 30 years ago predicted after the Plame outing that they'd take down BushCo when the time was right.

2. Why does anyone use Peggy Noonan for a panel member?
You know what she is going to say even before she says it. She is a propagandist for the right and she always manages to get in a political slam against a Dem. The words are different but the tactic is always the same. She doesn't even stick to the question she is asked. I just mute the TV when she speaks.

9. couldn't agree more......it's hilarious to see her swooning over the chimp
Sam Donaldson was on, sitting next to her, and it was clear he didn't take her seriously, except for falling all over himself at her speechwriting job for RR's own 40th anniversary speech at Normandy.

how anybody could ever take anything that regime did as more than a gigantic publicity campaign is still beyond me

time to reread "On Bended Knee" again.......

7. isn't it interesting how they've dialed down the wording to "abuse?"
as in the abuse of Vietnamese peasants in those My Lai ditches?

the way they abused that prisoner by letting a dog start eating his leg?
