CNN's pro-Bush reporting on Seymour Hersh Iraq article
CNN Headline News 5 minutes ago:
--------------
paraphrase:

The White House is denouncing an article by Seymour Hersh as "hysterical" and "journalistic malpractice."

Hersh wrote that Donald Rumsfeld set into motion the chain of events which led to the Iraqi abuse scandal.

However, Hersh says that neither Bush nor Rumsfeld knew of the photographs.
--------------

CNN starts out with name-calling against Seymour Hersh, before even saying what his allegations are.

Then they end with misleadingly saying that Bush and Rumsfeld didn't know about the photographs (until they did-we all learned what we know sometime.) And even being being ignorant of the photos isn't the same as being ignorant of human rights violations.

2. Of course they didn't know about the photos
That's why they hadn't publicly discussed the January report that detailed what the photos showed. Until the photos surfaced, they thought that the whole thing would blow over, and no one would care. It was only after the photos showed up that Rumsfeld got his dessicated carcass over to the Capitol to lie his ass off about what he knew and when he knew it.

"Perjury" in a civil suit unrelated to his duties as president was good enough to impeach Clinton. I'd say that Rumsfeld's lying under oath about Abu Ghraib to the Senate subcommittee would qualify him for an article or two aimed at his removal from office for high crimes and misdemeanors.
