Randi Rhodes, it turns out, isn't eager to fulfill the gray stereotype of the hyper-PC droning liberal. Alas, too many school m'arms on DU are.

And so she gets the usual hate thrown her way from the DUers who'd last about five seconds on the radio, who would convert not a single soul, who could marshall not a tenth of the facts as the Great Randi, and who probably couldn't even sustain a "Lisa's Dad" public service ad.

The hell with all that. Randi--you're the greatest! Don't let the bastards, be they right wing nuts, or the few prigs that call themselves progressive, keep you down or shut you up! Preach on!

...but talks some trash about the French--and, no, not even they are above reproach--and points out that Republicans are hypocrites for blaming the prison guards instead of Bush/Rumsfeld...

And here come the DUers, lining up the circular firing squad:

"Well, then, my my, she's just not a proper liberal. I thought Air America was supposed to be liberal--and this woman Randi hasn't put me to sleep, therefore it can't be liberal!

"Oh, and it pissed me off, and so I, in my ignorance and my bitterness, can thus properly declare that she's just the Left's Rush Limbaugh!"

a long time ago. She repeated a line from one of my favorite
movies, "Working Girl," and she did it exactly like it is in
the movie.

"Six thousand dollars? It's not even leatha!"

I was a supplicant from that moment on.

8. She's grown on me the last few weeks...

since I started listening.

I was rolling laughing at my desk last week when she went into the long muttered Rainman diatribe.

"Wapner..weapons of mass destruction...K-Mart sucks..I'm an excellent driver..."

She's definitely ballsy. And although she sometimes grates on me, I am coming to love her as one of the best weapons we got in our arsenal.
