Why dont American Indians warrant a mention by Nader's site?
I went to Ralph Naders website to see where he stood on issues of treaty rights, Trust Fund case, diminishing sovereignty for American Indians. Maybe I didn't searh his site thoroughly enough, but I didn't find a mention of any of these issues that are important to American Indians. Chimp's website doesnt mention us but John Kerry's website does. Now, I'm not going to claim that Kerry is a savior for our people but at least he takes the time to give our issues some thought. I can't say that about Bush or Nader, judging by their websites.

1. Hard to believe, considering his 2000 running mate was Winona LaDuke
who is, of course, Native American.

That's Ralph for ya, I guess.

One still-active candidate who has had these issues covered since the beginning is Democrat Dennis Kucinich:

Good to see that President Kerry is on board.

2. I assumed he would have some platform
I was suprised too, because as you pointed out, Winona Laduke ran for vice-president with him on the Green Party ticket. I had read Kerry's statements about Native Americans and went to Nader's site, curious as to what positions he was taking. I didn't see anything. Maybe I didn't search his site thoroughly enough and one of his supporters can point me in the right direction. The only thing I saw was his support for Hemp growth and mentioned Alex White Plume as a hemp grower.

often seem to be overlooked - I don't know why that is.

4. Yeah but it was suprising

That's true. We do get left out of the discussions. I was suprised, though, because Nader is supposedly the "progressive candidate" and he hasn't taken the trouble to address the issues of the native nations. On this issue, Kerry has taken a stand and the argument could be made that Nader and Bush are no different from each other in ignoring American Indians.

5. Why?
Because Ralph cares about nobody but Ralph. Everything he says and does that might indicate some actual concern for anybody but himself is, in my opinion, just to curry enough favor to continue his campaign of self-promotion.
