Anyone know of a good article on Zell Miller?

Looking for something that explains why Zell Miller has gone from fairly moderate Democrat to right-wing attack dog. Does anyone know of a link or have some good info? Thanks.

He was progressive when it came to education, and he was the best education governor GA ever had. But on other issues, he has always been conservative. He started the 3 strikes and you're out program in GA, and one of his big campaign issues for governor was boot camps for juvenile offenders. He supported anstinance education as governor. Has supported ending welfare entitlements since the beginning. Let's put it this way - you don't get to be a two-term governor in Georgia by being moderate. In GA, there are merely degrees of conservativeness. There's not a heck of a lot of difference between Republicans and Democrats at the state level in GA.
