911 Hearings NYC
I just realized that the hearings are not being televised nationally, not even on C-Span. They are televising it here in New York. For those who would like to watch it, you can watch it streamed from CBS 2 New York.

It is hard to watch the videos and to listen to the first responders speak of that day.

but, it's not in sync with the CBS broadcast... strange...

but the testimony/interviews/clips are riveting!

and horrifying

5. i haven't seen anything with this much detail
and as a NYer who was in midtown that morning, I thought I'd heard it ALL.

and it is hard to watch/listen

I can't believe C-span and the cables are IGNORING this testimony!

They may think it's too local government specific. But I honestly believe many in this country would want to see this. I hope those who are, would take advantage and tune in the stream I mentioned in the original post, even if it is out of sync, or lagged by a few minutes.

The videos are riveting, to borrow your description, and very hard to watch.

9. EVERY local station is airing it in full
I'm impressed by that. ABC, NBC, CBS and the local Fox affiliate, as well as NY1, our local news channel, are all showing it in full. I'm impressed by that, anyway.

they weren't covering from the beginning though...

it looks like the cables will only pick up from the 2pm session (along with c-span3)

8. Watch the cable star-fuckers switch over to it as soon as Giuliani is on.
This part is strictly fact-finding. Which media whores would be interested in facts? These are just the facts of ordinary New Yorkers leaping to their deaths from 80 stories. The facts of radios that don't work and firemen who can't hear the evacuation order. These are stories of what happened or what went wrong AFTER the crime was committed. It actually will get interested when they ask Giuliani if BushCO shared any of those dire warnings with him that summer.

they're showing it live at 2pm but they may have archived the rest for a delayed broadcast... they SHOULD. it was POWERFUL

I only wish these guys, namely the Republicans had this same outrage with the Washington bureaucrats.
