Poll question: On election Night what Network are you gonna watch?
Who's commentary do you most respect? Or who's face would you like to see announce that shrub is done?

4. I wish there would be a media blackout
on election day, no calling states which always happens when we are still voting here in the west. I'm having my own media black-out on that day. I will check here later that night.

24. Comedy central for me too, but i'll probably be surfing
the channels and the web. It might be fun, though, to see the shit-eaters forced to eat their own shit on Faux.

break for that and I have a couple of friends in state races here.

hold much interest for me.

if I want to watch that shit I can rent old videotapes of Soviet Propaganda and Nazi Propaganda, respectively.

13. Dan Rather is priceless during the returns.
SOme quotes from 2000...

"These returns are running like a squirrel in a cage."

"It was as hot and squalid as a New York elevator in August." (On the New York Senate race.)

"This will have the people in Austin standing up like they got stuck with hat pins." (On the recantation of Florida results.)

"Hotter than a Laredo parking lot." (On the race)

"I think you would likelier see a hippopotamus run through this room than see George Bush appoint Ralph Nader to the Cabinet."

"This race is as tight as a too-small bathing suit on a too-hot car ride back from the beach."

"If a frog had side pockets, he'd carry a handgun." (In response to somebody telling him that if someone won one state ...)

"We've lived by the crystal ball, we're eating so much broken glass. We're in critical condition."

21. And here's another 40 Ratherisms we'd have LOVED to hear.

My personal fave, #6:
"The Florida voter may be getting screwed harder than a drunken Paula Zahn at CBS's Christmas party."

16. I will be networking as many computers as I can get running.......
......and watching the returns from the counties using DRE's as well as the reported returns at the Secretary of State web site looking for 'anomalies' in the returns data. :)

I suggest more people consider doing the same in their states.

17. I'll watch them all
I click around on election night from network to network - I'll also be listening to AAR probably, as well as surfing the net. I need a place like the ESPNZone in Atlanta with every network on at the same time - I'm a totally obsessed on election night.

22. Depends
A week before the election I will decide whether I want to be gone during the election. I always vote absentee, so I may go down to Acapulco and sit on a beach on election day. However, if things are going very well and are not in doubt for Kerry (as I suspect they will be) then I will probably go to the Victory Party at the Hotel Savory in downtown Des Moines and dance in the street, just like I did when Clinton was elected and re-elected. I won't care what network is on as long as the results are good.
