It's Embarrassing and Shameful and this is What it Took

The worst of humanity on display for all to see. It's not going away. This torture scandal is a piece of bloody flesh in the midst of full fledged feeding frenzy. This is Monica on steroids.

The price we pay to get what we want. This is the end of the empire, going down in an ugly, clumsy, despicable, shameful, wanton, bachanalian display of the base of humanity. I'm embarrassed for my country. This is what it takes.

A measure of an individual' moral character is by how well that individual treats others be they friend of foe. Those in the Bush Administration have clearly demonstrated that they lack any moral character what so ever. Equally lacking moral fiber are the apologists for the actions of those within the Administration. Neither understand that a nation's moral authority is derived from its leadership; therefore, only as good as those leading the nation. Those currently in charge have none; thus, the country is now in a moral vacuum. They have led us down a path of "the end justifies the means" and the abuses are only a manifested symptom of the bigger problem.
