Nader's 9/11 Plan

Seems everyone had a plan except for the Unelected pResident. And on what does Nader base his plan??? An old report issued by the (capable) Clinton Administration.

Bombing innocent and unarmed people into the Stone Age does not make me feel any safer.

Get a load of this: Likely 2004 third-party presidential hopeful Ralph Nader thinks the 9/11 terrorist attacks wouldn't have happened if he had been president. He claims that amid all the big decisions new presidents have to make after inauguration, he would have ordered cockpit doors to be hardened against attack. He says an old report warning about how easy it is to get in the cockpit still sticks with him. What's more, he would have wiped out Osama bin Laden and his gang without a shot being fired. How? Bribe Osama's friends to hand him over.

I do suspect he is quite wrong here, though. By the time of the 2000 elections, the forces that resulted in 9/11 made the attacks pretty much inevitable, no matter who was in office. RN is closer than most about how to deal with those forces themselves, but American imperialism wasn't going to be magically fixed in a year and a half.

Attacks of some kind were inevitable. They simply were. We've pissed all over the poor in the developing world for too long for it to be otherwise.

Yes, there were warnings that were ignored by the Bush admin, and that could possibly have prevented the specific attacks we sustained. They would have found another way.

Just as I expect that, eventually, they'll find another way again.

and still can.

May we see such policy changes in our lifetimes.

Those attacks were in fact a long time in the planning. Even if the wonderful Ralphie boy had been president, I don't believe for a moment that the attacks could have been prevented by then. He is making me ill now . . .

As much as I don't like Nader, I'm still not going to slam him based on what US Spews has to say.

I agree with Nader's plan to stop 9/11. I traveled in that area before 9/11. I went to the mountains near Kashmir India. I agree with Nader 100%.


I think Nader's point also, is that for perhaps a few thousand dollars, given to some of the people in that area, the Taliban could of been turned over to the US.I also have no doubt the whole Taliban army could of been turned over to the US, as well by a few bribes.

Sept. 11 was planned before the election.
even if Nader had won,his changes wouldn't have happened fast enough to stop it.

Gore proposed changes too,had been working on them before the election.

He would have prevented the recession, kept the Russians from launching Sputnik, won in Vietnam, caught the Watergate burglars in the act and prevented Lex Luthor from launching two nuclear missiles in Superman the Movie. .........I agree!!!......Yes 911 was planned in advance but by whom???.......I have not concluded that elements within our own Govt were NOT willing participants.....In fact all of the RED flags indicate just that!!!
