Major psy ops campaign on CSPAN led by D.C. rep for Iraqi Congress
In light of some of the things that I read on DU, it has been quite interesting deconstructing this guy's rhetoric.

First, he is trying to set up Chalabai as a hero of the Iraqi people. This is interesting in light of the revelations that the neo-cons are trumping up a fake dispute with him when everyone knows he still is on his side.

He also talked about the "sarin bomb" and how Iraq was such a MAJOR threat to the U.S.

There's either sovereignty or occupation, or perhaps just a kinder, gentler occupation with the leaders in cahoots with the occupiers.

Anyone listening? What are your thoughts?

2. If no one died when a "sarin bomb" went off right beside them...
how could it be a WMD to the Homeland? Hmm?

I agree with your analysis. The Iraqi people ain't dumb. They won't buy this crap.

I can't believe the shit flowing from this bastard's mouth.

He's an Iraqi "representative", but glad to be an American citizen?

Claimed he served in the military? Whose, Where? When?

Is anyone paying attention?

4. Sorry. I looked but didn't see it
My brain doesn't function well in the morning.

Yes, I caught the part about him being a U.S. citizen. Have to wonder how much he's getting paid for being a government shill.

5. It's OK...Things Move Fast, Ya Know...
I'm curious if this goon ever lived in Iraq.

Also, isn't it curious that C-Span had a Chalabi mouthpiece on the morning of the raid. Hmmm. You'd figure they had this show booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Cheers! I enjoy your posts.

Neocon Lets Cat Out of Bag
Robert Dreyfuss

May 19, 2004

<snip>Michael Rubin—a young staffer at the American Enterprise Institute who’s just left the Pentagon, where he played a small role as a neocon cog in the Office of Special Plans war machine—let a herd of cats out of the bag about his favorite Iraqi phony, Ahmad Chalabi of the Iraqi National Congress.</snip>

<snip>"By telegraphing that he is not the favorite son of America, the administration will bolster him, showing he is his own man."</snip>

<snip>In other words, it’s all a big con game. The still-neocon-dominated Pentagon—which this week stopped funding Chalabi’s INC —is playing its last card, hoping that it can boost Chalabi’s sagging fortunes by pretending to sever ties with him. That, the neocons hope, will allow Chalabi to strengthen his ties to Sistani, the king-making mullah who, they hope, holds Iraq’s fate in his wrinkled hands.</snip>
