Some administration official on NPR
was attempting to tell the audience that they are incorporating Iraqis into the army and police and security forces and it is going great and can be done. The questioner asked about former military being re instituted and that this was a reversal of policy wasn't it? The administration spokesperson said it was not a reversal but an adaption. Don't you just love it! Then he goes on to say that by the time we arrived in Iraq there really wasn't an army left to utilize anyway. So no WMD, no Al Qaida, no nuclear program, and now no real army, so what was the threat? This administration is now to the point of never getting any of its stories straight anymore. This is a disaster of unimaginable proportions.

1. Well...they never had much of an army..

2. exactly
we need the so-called journalist/interviewers to then ask this representative real questions of inconsistency when they say things like "no army".

5. This is why bush was so anxious to do the invasion
He and the PNAC wrongly assumed that it would be a simple matter to invade and occupy Iraq since it had no real defense and a paper tiger dictator. They still haven't come to terms with what they have gotten themselves into yet. I don't think anyone really knows what is in store for the occupation in the near future.
