Tim Russert needs to shut the F up already....
He's been on every show you can think of from TODAY to appearances on obscure AM Radio shows hosted by nobody you've ever heard of hawking his book "Big Russ and Me". Is there not one genuine news person left in this world that would like to distribute news or disseminate information in this country that doesn't have some book their trying to peddle for profit?

I am sick to the point of nausea of the media saturated whoring of the book "Big Russ and Me". Enough already, SHUT UP TIM! I suspect from what I've read, that "Big Russ" was a huge repuke and it's obvious that Timmy Boy is conflicted and is having trouble cutting the apron strings. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ALREADY.

I've got a story for you guys. My father was just barely 4th generation American when he forged his birth certificate and joined the Navy to fight in WWII at the tender age of fifteen. He saw major battle by the time he was 17 years old. He retired after a long career in the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and then promptly joined the Coast Guard to finish out a long and illustrious career of 23 years of service to his country. He's dead now, and knowing him as well as I do, I have no doubt he'd be turning over in his grave over the current state of events of this country.

1. I'm with you
as soon as I turned on the tv, there he was "reminiscing".

No one is going to buy his crappy book.

3. WHY DOES HE THINK HE'S SO SPECIAL?
I was trying to watch Hardball and Tim wouldn't friggin' leave. It's not like he was the president or anything. He's a reporter. That's great - but it's not worth seeing him on every news show. :boring:

4. Big Russ?
Why on earth would anyone care enough about Russert to buy a book about his father?

5. Total Self-Involvement.
The world just revolves around them. It's almost as bad as having to listen to Imus wax poetic about his cookbook.

9. Yes, Imus has whored himself for salsa, coffee...
and his dried up alcoholic brother's auto body t-shirts and then his "Ranch" til he has become the transparent media whore he always was, but got magnified when he got some measure of notoriety and a new audience from MSNBC.

I saw him one morning not too long ago, take a gift of a large framed picture and bust it over a chair in a rage because it was placed in his office by one of his staff and he decided that he wanted no part of any gift that wasn't a check for $5,000., so he smashed it and flying shards of glass went every where. It was disturbing, especially when it dawned on me that this crazy, wrinkled up old psychopath actually had young, sick children in his charge.

15. That 'ranch" needs to be investigated but no politico will do it because
of Imus' mouth being able to blast over the airwaves. They do not allow the parents anwhere around. A few flags went up for me and I wouldn't let any kid (sick or well) around this unqualified, self-absorbed drunk. He brags that taking these dying children and making them work is just "wonderful". We have the nationally recognized "Camp Sunshine" in our state that gives kids all those wonderful "summer camp" experiences like children without life threatening diseases. These kids swim, sail, fish, hike, ride horses, play, do archery, etc., etc. and they just beam. It's bullshit that you have to make these sick kids work to make them happy---total bullshit. It sounds like pathetic workacholic yuppies think this is a great way to spend the last days of their kids lives...........stupid assholes.

whose brain is damaged to the point of "somebody tell me what I'm I'm supposed to think today; remind me Charles and Bernie".
He is a pathetic waste of air space. Sometimes I feel like I need to punish myself for waking up at 6:00 am and watching the damn debaucle, but alas I am an incurable insomniac and rely on the idiot box to entertain me because no matter how severe my insomnia is, my internal clock doesn't allow me to sleep past 6:30 on any given day, it's a curse.

22. I started taking melatonin for jet lag.
Now, I take about a quarter of one every night and it's really helped. Takes a few weeks to kick in. Just a thought.

6. Tweety's Barf-fest, "Father/Son, the Shrubs"
The two of them drooled over the Shrub and Poppy relationship, or rather, Tweety's and G.E.RUSSERT's Reverend WEEMS version of it, how Poppy "must" be proud and "rooting for" the crap son while disapproving of how Shrub is doing things and how Shrub is purposefully doing things NOT Poppy's way. Barf.

Then Tweety recited somebody else's barf about how Poppy did not force life/career choices on his sons, whereas supposedly GORE's father *did*. Barf.

And Tweety and G.E. painted Shrub's career as "knocking around" (read, "fucking up"). Barf.

7. His little go-round with Powell
I thought was as much a fabrication to get himself all over TV and to get his names on the tongues of Americans everywhere as it was about "real" television indignation. Poor potato head Russert. He got to disparage one of Powell's handlers, praise Powell for acting like a "General", and sell his book in one fell swoop. A trifecta in the whoredom Olympics.

8. Get Ready to Barf More: G.E. to Guest with O'REILLY Momentarily
Already, Tweety did a rundown on G.E.RUSSERT's life ---alterboy, nuns, Jesuits, etc.----and said that it was IDENTICAL to Tweety's. G.E. replied that HANNITY had said the same thing.

Question: What's wrong with the culture of Tweety-G.E.RUSSERT-HANNITY-O'REILLY?

O'REILLY just promo-ed G.E. as, "He SAYS he's a regular guy, but IS HE?"

12. saw it too and almost threw up.
Russert's big potato head aside, I kept thinking:
"What in Big Russ' life made him the kind of Repuke his narcissistic and shallow son felt he had to replicate? Was it the lifting of the heavy garbage cans during his SECOND job? The going off to fight in WWII?
If anything, Big Russ' experience in attempting to provide for his family should convince his egomaniacal and selfish son that he should be more liberal in his policies?
Without social programs advanced by Democrats and fair wages forced by unions, Big Russ would have had to work about FIVE jobs to make ends meet!

All that being said, the Russert-fests on every channel are enough to make you sick. Can these guys ever get it through their heads that they are not the news?

13. Russert is peddling himself as some kind of blue collar uber-American
The reality is that he's a media whore who long ago severed any allegiance to the truth.

The reality is that he's not cool, he's not heroic in anyway, and to top it off - he fuckin' throws like a dweeb!

16. All this media pandering to me said that these freaks really don't
know average, real Americans at all, do they. There is NOTHING unique about Big Russ NOTHING. This is the way the whole generation was. My dad was born in 1899 and got himself into WWI. He was a salt of the earth, good provider, good family man, and a gentle nice person. He never talked about his life nor complained. Hell as a young elementary school kid, his JOB (yes job) was to get up at the crack of dawn and "lay the fires" for the wealthy of the community. That meant he went around to their homes and stoked their fire places so that things were warm when they work up. Then he went to school. Has your third grader stoked fires at four in the morning lately??? He worked literally all his life. Big Russ was not only typical of his time, he still didn't know what hard work was. Oh, and Big Russ's war experience was "packing" parachuttes. He didn't exactly storm Normandy. It truly is arrogant to shove this on Americans and think this guy was somebody unique and special.

18. He is average

And somehow he got extremely lucky and hit Television.
I am so s i c k of his Dad and I have never met the man.

What kind of credentials does he have to do his job? He is Average or below for that matter.

It is not his looks that got him this far and it is not his intelligence.

When will our country stop using "Average" as role models?

Hurry Kerry and Wes Clark, hurry! I can't stand these idiots much longer.:puke:
