Ballot Order in CA
http://www.ss.ca.gov/elections/statewide_special_random_alpha.htm

1. R
2. W
3. Q
4. O
5. J
6. M
7. V
8. A
9. H
10. B
11. S
12. G
13. Z
14. X
15. N
16. T
17. C
18. I
19. E
20. K
21. U
22. P
23. D
24. Y
25. F
26. L

So that means that McClintock will the first. Arianna will be next in the line. Then will come Bustamente. Ahnuld and Simon will then follow. Uberoth and Flynt will be at the end.

So how many pages will each ballot be? And does that mean that the major candidates won't be until the middle of the ballot. What does that mean about voting?

Have there been any studies that determine if there is any correlation between ballot position and actually performance in an election?

1. Order will vary by precinct too..
They crackhead way they have set this up, is to "try" to have each "candidate" have a shot at being first on SOME ballot :eyes:

2. So how do they pick which precintcts people are first line at
Now here is the real question. Doesn't this raise an issue of equal protection? And will there be any Florida style lawsuits?

they called a situation like this a circle jerk. I believe the term still fits.

6. 13 page Ballot - get those reading glasses out
will the 13 pages be lose

or defaced by a staple -if a staple defaces, but if stapled or not how can you be sure you have all 13 pages in each "ballot" handed out - unless it is continous paper?

Do you submit all 13 separate pages - or just the page voted on

If you must submit a "completed ballot - meaning all 13 pages - if they are lose pages, what is the chance of a missed vote. If they lose pages is it still a valid vote given you can not be sure there is not a double vote?

If the 13 pages are stapled, is that legal?

Can they just use a 13 page long piece of continous paper (143 inches - or about 12 feet)?

Some folks are saying their area will use Florida's Votematic or lever systems - how will they handle 200 names - indeed lever systems rarely have all 99 levels working and can not even do the max 99 -?

If optical reader, should not all 13 pages or 12 feet be scanned so that we know we do not have a double vote? Can optical scan 12 feet of ballot?

Manual counting of 12 foot ballots may be the only way to go!

:-)
