NEW YORK (Reuters) - Air America Radio, the upstart liberal talk show network that has been plagued by management troubles, is seeking to raise new money in efforts to pay off debts and steer the business toward profitability

Mike Papantonio and others attributed the company's troubles thus far to mismanagement by Cohen, a former Republican political operative in Guam.

Such Democratic heavyweights as Sen. Hillary Clinton, her husband, former President Bill Clinton and billionaire investor George Soros have been appraised of the money-raising efforts, according to a person close to the company.

The network has also made efforts to get Democratic party presidential nominee John Kerry to spend more of its campaign money on ads aired on Air America.

I'm totally pissed off tonight. Air America sucks. Bush sucks. Everything basically sucks right now. I just don't have any more patience. I'm not listening to Flonase commercials anymore.

I understand why they would want Kerry to advertise on their stations ($$$), but would that do any good for the campaign? They'd be preaching to the choir.....

encouraging people to register to vote, telling us more about Kerry that we could bring up later with our freeper buddies, giving us tips on how to enable "god mode" on electronic voting machines...

7. We can handle those kinds of ads with different money.

Kerry has only limited funds and can only do limited things with them. He need to use it to get himself and his message out there. Let him focus on that and let special interests, who have different restrictions, cover the other bases.
