1. business analysts are all Republicans
the numbers everyone uses are produced by the bushgang's economic propaganda bureau.

3. Buisnesses are making money from shifting tax burden to workers, so they
need Republicans in office to keep giving that gift. So they'll lie about the true nature of the economy (people living off debt).

6. It's got to be something like that. when I heard the news that the
1st time unemployed was up but the cnn newsbreak lady just smiled and said "but that is a good number, because it's below 425,000" I almost dropped my plate.

If bush's dumb ass didn't have iraq around his neck, they(media) would lie his ass right back into office.

8. I heard NPR say in 2002 that the economy was turning around be cause
the rate of increase in unemployment was lower than the rate of increase the previous month.

So, things were getting better not because unemployment was decreasing, but because it was increasing, but not as much as the previous month.

Huh?

I read a study once about pain and lobotomies. Aparently lobotomies work not be alleviating pain, but by eliminating the ability to project into the future. If you ask a lobotomized person if they can feel pain, they say yes. If you ask them questions that indicate whether they appreciate the concept of time and the future, it turns out that they don't.

The worst part of pain is that you think it won't end. But if you're told that it will end, you mind less that you're in pain today. That is so much of what the right wing business news does. They talk about the pain, but tell you don't worry, it'll be over very soon. Two years later, it's not much better. Now, if NPR had said two years ago that it was going to be crappy and nobody sees an end to it without some dramatic change in government policy, then people might start getting really pissed off, and start asking for those changes. So they lie.

10. Hey, lying to yourself doesn't make you a Republican. But the media
definitely shouldn't be lying to people in order to make them feel better about a world designed to rip them off so some people at the top of the ladder can get richer than they already are.

2. People are still living off borrowing against equity from home.
Not until the real estate bubble pops will everything else fall apart.
