by the way is there any news on the four arrested for the berg
killing. I'm a little tinfoil hatish, seeing how first we get the unconfirmed reports of arrests and the next day they raid chalabi's offices. on well, what do I know.

2. I still haven't figured out
how they determined what four men to arrest. They were covered head to toe and didn't say anything. Also if they found four, why didn't they find all five of them. The whole story stinks.

3. Cuz they can't fake...............
They have committed themselves by naming Zaqauri (sp). He is too high profile, they can't drag a shopkeeper off the street and claim they caught 'THE FIVE' perpetrators.

8. They were all wearing the same OSP issued uniforms
When did you ever see Islamic terrorists all dressed in exactly the same pants and shirts, with the same body armor underneath? They all had different head coverings and shoes but the rest of the outfits were definitely US military issue.

4. how do you guy's feel about chalabi's office being raided,
this is really too weird to me. think about it, orange jump suit, white chair, our government says we didn't have him. his family produces emails saying oh yeah somebody was holding him. the voices on the tapes, man I'm starting to get the weird feeling that the killing of mr. berg just might end up being the straw that breaks the camels back.

5. It's screwy but the press has to break it open. Who has the balls to do
that? CNN?

Remember, the CIA hired some idiots in Jerusalam to get some old sheik and killed 80 people leaving mosque. They however didn't get the sheik.

I don't think the CIA would off an American minding his own business, but the people they hire would. You don't have to be a conspiracy theory nut to know that a perfectly timed atrocity like this one is just a little too convenient--like the "babies thrown out of their incubators" in Gulf War I, a bogus story that never happened, but it sure galvanized public opinion as it was breathlessly reported by a gullible press.

6. They never said they arrested the killers.
The statement was something like "we've made 4 arrests" in response to the question about progress. Hinting, perhaps, that the arrests were significant in some way, but, as usual, just spin without any specific content. As to what happened to them, well, they were disappeared, as happens under fascism where power is its own judge.+

7. It's unclear that there ever were arrests
"Also Tuesday, Kimmitt and officials in Washington said they had no information on news reports that four people were arrested in connection with the Berg killing."
http://www.guardian.co.uk/worldlatest/story/0,1280,-4106786,00.html

"Four people have been arrested over the beheading of US businessman Nicholas Berg, whose killing was shown earlier this month in a video on an al-Qaeda linked website, a senior Iraqi source said on Tuesday."
http://www.news24.com/News24/World/Iraq/0,,2-10-1460_1528829,00.html

Since the original 'senior Iraqi source', I don't think we've heard anything apart from the US 'we know nothing' comment. Which to believe? They're both pretty hazy.
