"My first act as President will be to remove all of the PNAC GANG from the People's House."

"My second act will be to remove all of the ATR GANG from the People's House."

Foreign Policy--ruined by PNAC GANG
Domestic Policy--ruined by ATR GANG (americans for tax reform)

1. What on earth would such a statement accomplish?

How many Americans do you think know about PNAC? How many know what ATR is, or have ever heard of Grover Norquist?

I'll give you a hint, it's probably a percentage somewhere between .1 and 2.

Sometimes it seems as if some people think the candidates are going to address their every interest without giving any consideration to how that makes the world better. It's all about "ME, ME, ME!!!"

6. Or they wait for a leader to say it for them.

I keep saying this about people who like to try to threaten our candidates: go to enough people and get them to understand your issue, and the candidates can't ignore it. It's actually more emphatic on democracy that way.

4. Yes, people will know what he's talking about.

Especially if he just uses the abbreviation for Americans for Tax Reform that you had to explain to us in order for us to understand.

And it won't sound all communist to say "People's House" either even if no one calls it that.

You should PM him though; the threads have been moving quickly lately and he might not catch it.

Maybe he'll give a "shout out to swinney" after he says it too!

But those "middle of the road folks" who wont have a clue what you are talking about are going to use it to foster the idea that Kerry is a verbose, pompus, arrogant rich kid.

I'm not saying he is one, but head on over to Slate to see how they are spinning Kerry's intelligence. They are trying to be fair and balanced by creating KERRYISMS which skewer the nominee for having articulate thoughts (to counteract the years of Bushism which ridiculed the president for being a verbal buffon).
