CNN touting Shrub has office and people in Pgh. Kerry doesn't
They said Shrub lost Pa. by 4 points last time, but is determined to win. Kerry hasn't opened an office there yet, and is sharing space with the Dem party.

I hope he opens one soon, and gets a lot of foot soldiers too, but I'm not real worried about Shrub winning Pa. I know a lot of people who voted for either Shrub or Nader last election and are VERY sorry! At least verbaly, they have told me they won't do THAT AGAIN!

1. Moderate Repubs were calling Lynne Cullen's show today
saying they would probably not be voting for Bush*.

The county, which is Repub, voted in a Democratic County Council and Executive

2. His wife is campaigning for him there and is quite popular
I don't think he is actively ignoring anyone...even if he is focusing on battleground states.

3. PA is a battleground state!
I don't worry much about Pgh. I worry more about Phila. There's lots of Pubs there, and they aren't that far from NY, & DC.

I'm not criticising Kerry, just worried. Pa. has a lot of electoral votes.

BTW, I was born in Pgh. and lived there for 44 years.

I don't have much chance of getting Ga.(that's where I live now.) to vote for a Dem, no matter how hard I try. But I don't want to lose my home state!

4. I think that Philadelphia area is going to trend Dem again
I don't think they're far-out RW. And in Western PA Teresa Heinz and Chris Heinz will be the secret weapon against Bush. Teresa is really loved in this area.

And I'm hoping the Toomey folks will be sitting home licking their wounds.
