Hey, DUers - I'm gonna be back on the radio tomorrow night!
Edited on Fri May-21-04 06:31 PM by calimary
I got this inquiry from a woman in Canada named Rachel Marsden, who's the host of a political radio program in Vancouver, BC (CITR 101.9FM radio and on the internet at www.citr.ca) on Saturday nights from 6-7pm Pacific time. Her website is www.rachelmarsden.com. She wants to talk with me about lotza stuff, from bush/Iraq to Kerry and the Dems to the Gropenator, seeing how I'm in California. Apparently, she wants to hook up by about 6:30pm.

Wanted to share that with ya! I'm rawther excited! If you have a chance, tune in, 'eh?

Oh yeah, and wish me luck!

5. Why soitenly!
You can break a whole buncha stuff and still go on the radio. Quite a few years ago, I remember one news vice president carry on at some length, during a speech, about the beautiful simplicity of radio - becasue all you ever needed to go on the air was a dime and a telephone. Well, I guess that'd be 35-50 cents by now, at least.

7. Best of luck
And use the "let's see what our tax dollars have bought us in Iraq" line! Just file off the serial numbers and use it for your own.

8. It's just a bloomin' GREAT line. I intend to. Copied it off into my
"good quotes" file with all my other choice cuts, including my favorite big mind-blower "What luck for the leaders that men do not think." Said by Adolf Hitler.

Yep, there's plenty to talk about. The eminent Will Pitt once said that THIS particular site is utterly glorious for resources, links, background info and alternative voices. Not to mention TRUTH. Another thing he's correct to point out.

Here's an article by this woman, it's a corker!

Canadians for Kerry: Bush's Best Endorsement
By Rachel Marsden
February 23, 2004

snip

There's something about a take-charge, charismatic, decisive, inspirational leader that rubs Canadians the wrong way. The last one to be seen in Canada (Stockwell Day) was tossed from the window of the bus by his own party--the Conservative Party. That should teach him for daring to come out of the closet as a social conservative within the, er, CONSERVATIVE Party! The current frontrunner for the party's leadership is a man named Stephen Harper, who has all charisma and inspirational capacity of a mortician, all the originality of a pair of Calvin Klein knockoffs--and all the ability to maintain due course of a drunken sailor in a windstorm. That means he'll probably do just fine as a party leader in Canada.

If Democratic frontrunner, Senator John Kerry, happens to get elected to the Oval Office this November (heaven forbid), he'll no doubt have a huge fan club north of the border. As evidenced by the success of "Cirque du Soleil", Canadians love a good flip-flopping act. While being stridently against the Gulf War, the Iraq War, the Patriot Act, the Vietnam War, the death penalty, and gay marriage, Kerry has also somehow managed to be equally as passionately in favour of these very same things.

She writes commentaries for gopusa.com

Edited to add: Yikes, I knew that name rang big alarm bells, now I know why! This woman is a nut case, charged a swim coach with sexual harrassment and it turned out that she was the harrasser. She is now charged with harrassment of another man. Here is a link to the story:

Marsden faces harassment charge

But in 1997, Marsden, 26, made headlines when she accused Donnelly of sexually harassing her.

Donnelly, who grew up in Port Moody, was fired over the accusations and later reinstated by the university after he went public saying she was the one who had harassed him and had sent him erotic photos of herself.

This week, Marsden was arrested on a charge of criminal harassment by Vancouver Police after a 52-year-old Vancouver man complained of being harassed by phone and e-mail.

(I just want you to be fully armed before you go on the air with her, she is a nut case, I didn't even know she had a show!)

11. Thanks! I just keep in mind how many times I've yelled at my TV.
when one of these folks comes on. I hope it gives me the chance to say some of the things I would have loved to have said to other talking heads.
