John Kerry, do you know what BBV is all about?
Edited on Fri May-21-04 09:18 PM by TruthIsAll
Take your head out of the sand. Are you in denial? Are you technologically challenged?

You are leading now. You will be leading on election day. You will get the most votes. Like Gore did. But you will never count them in Cyberspace.

What are you waiting for? Do we have to remind you every week or so? Or must we bang you over the head every day?

You can't lose. And that's exactly why you will.

Because BushCo knows the only way to beat you..is to cheat you.

Get used to this. We will bang you over the head every day until you do something about it. Like a press conference, maybe?

TIA

reforms.

Maybe he is afraid of being tagged a "whiner" because he couldn't get over the Florida recount. (I hear that one from a lot of people whenever I mention BBV. :eyes:)

The Florida recount showed the willingness of Republicans to cheat.

The Bush Campaign asked for overseas soldiers to send in ballots AFTER the elections were over.

Katherine Harris told precincts to count ballots postmarked AFTER the election.

9. Both would be great, but I'd settle for number one for now.
Can't really make legal maneuvers without a truckload of solid evidence.

Al Franken wrote about it in "Lies and the Lying Liars," but I don't know of any elected Democrats condemning Congresswoman Katherine Harris for her memo to count ballots sent AFTER the election was over (when she was Florida Secretary of State and before she was rewarded for her crime with a Congressional seat).

If this is going to pass the Senate, no time like the present for John Kerry and every other Democratic Senator to cosponsor, plus a few moderate Republicans.

7. without the passage of HR 2239 & S1980. . .
Kerry will have to win by 30% to actually win. Does this matter to anyone. . . ? Never mind the redistricting issues or how so many Blacks have been most unceremoniously kicked off their god given voter elilgibility. Oh don't get me started!

10. Both bills got one new cosponsor this week.
Edited on Fri May-21-04 09:33 PM by Eric J in MN
For people unfamiliar, "The Voter Confidence Act" to require electronic voting machines to print paper ballots is bill number:
HR.2239 in the House.
S.1980 in the Senate.

Both "Voter Confidence Act" bills got one new cosponsor this week.

Rep. Jim Davis (D-FL) became a cosposor of HR.2239.

Senator Mark Dayton (D-MN) became a cosponor of S.1980.

There are now 141 House cosponsors and 5 Senate cosponsors.

For more on Senate cosponors, visit:

13. we should all really start pestering. . .
Congressman Robert Ney (R) who is blocking this bill from coming to the floor, who just happens to be a crony of Walden O'Dell the CEO of Diebold and a Bush "Pioneer", who also happens to be the representative of O'Dell's district.

Ughhhhhh. I just can't stand it. I've sent him so many missives to him that I'm sure he has me "on ignore." So anybody that's bored please try. Sorry no link. Just Google U.S. Congress and you'll find him. Rottsa Ruck.

14. There Could Be A Blockage In The Senate Too
Mitch McConnel and Chris Dodd are on the committee overseeing the Senate bill. Both are senate authors of HAVA and both signed a letter, along with Ney and Hoyer, condemning paper ballots.

And Dodd and Hoyer are Democrats.

Wonder if that's who Kerry is listening to.

And if Dean and Kerry have a plan, it would be nice to share because, boy could we ever set them up with a network.

He said they had talked about it, and that Kerry planned to have people on the ground here.
