I can't understand how
Bush and co. could negate the Geneva Convention for any reason because of this in our constitution:

Article VI

Clause 2: This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

1. There is a portion of the conventions
that allow a state to repudiate the convention (but they have to give a 1 year notice to that effect).

3. According to this article
The states can't abrogate it, a treaty signed is the law of the land, period.

5. Iraq isn't a State in the U.S.
All I am saying is that our constitution doesn't hold water in Iraq and with Al-Quada geneva isn't binding.

Flame all you want but Al-quada is a stateless war so Geneva holds the same impact as going after Mafia.

Iraq...The idiots that did it were already being investigated and gonna get charged. It needs to be investigated to its origin.

But OUR CONSTITUTION has nothing to do with foreign legalities.

I hope those idiots that did that shit and all the ones who knew and turned away get MAJOR sentences.

I don't agree that the U.S. forces should be judged buy the few.

I will risk a banning to say that most of DU doesn't believe the "don't support the troops" people. The "Tin-Foilers". The "We Hope the U.S. loses" supporters.

Sorry but if I have to be a part of "Blame America First", I don't wanna be in that club.

I don't talk a lot but I guess I did now. Sorry if any are offended.
