He was a "C" student and proud of it.
Imagine that you are a parent working two jobs to put your kid through college. Imagine that your kid is getting some financial help as long as he keeps his grades up. Imagine hearing the President of the United States bragging in a commencement address about how far he's gone as a "C" student. Imagine where we would be if we had a leader with a brain in his head instead of a silver spoon in his mouth. This man just continually disgusts me! :eyes:

I think that line could be worked into a speech when talking about No Child Left Behind. :)

4. Being a C student didn't get him where he is today...
It was his rich daddy's friends and connections.
It was a lame attempt at self-depreciation.

5. A 'C' average for a legacy in times of grade inflation is a joke
Just like Dumbya.

But then, he's a decision maker.

8. Some of the graduates at commencement yesterday
had a look of "misbelief" when he said that yesterday. Like, whatcha get for a "C" student prez is a loss of the moral high ground as the US is now the scourge of the planet. Thanks for being a disgrace to the nation and to the office of the POTUS Dumbya!

I remember a teacher of his remarking that he didn't get failed because of who he was.

10. Dumbya was never a gentleman. Those were legacy, grade-inflated "Cs"

Remember him cleaning his glasses on a woman's clothing on the Letterman show?

BTW, that professor was on Mike Webb's show about a month ago.

His history prof at Yale, said it was a "gentleman's" C that is given out at Yale. I read a damning interview he did saying just how bad a student he was, looked for a link for the last 30 minutes with no luck.

On edit, I guess it was an interview on AAR, it was hilarious!!

11. I'd like every public school in the nation to
hang up a banner over the front door (after all he's no friend of public education). The banner reads: "You don't have to work hard. A "C" is good enough because the President only got C's and he says it's "good enough"!!!

12. I'm amazed at what a stupid s**t he is!
I got some C's in college and a few in Law School (I was working full time) and I would never think to brag about it! This guy has no sense and no shame!

13. Raven---I think there is something sicker here when he does this
"C" student thing (and he's done it over and over again). He, of course, is using it as a punch line that is to bring laughs and applause from the audience. It's not just another way of stomping around with chest out and preening and being arrogant; it's also his way of saying "eat your heart out assholes--the teachers maybe didn't think I was bright but look where I am and you people don't have a chance in hell of being where I am no matter what grades are on your report card. It's all part of the arrogance and the crapping on others.

17. The Dumbing Down of Amerika
The Oligarchy doesn't care if Amerikan people strive for
exellence. The Multi-Corps don't want to hire Amerikans anymore because they can get labor cheaper in other countries. The shallow dolt in charge sets the example of mediocracy.

substance. I thought we fought the first King George because we were tired of brain dead royalty.

20. We already had one...
before the estate tax was ramped down. I don't necessarily think that all wealthy people are like George Bush...I was not intending to talk about Bush's tax policy, rather I was marveling at how mediocre he is,how proud he is of it and what a sad message that sends to hard working people in this country.
