Is there ANYTHING this Administration WON'T lie about?!?
Is there anything this administration won't lie about?!?

Take Bush's recent tumble off his bike this weekend. Here's what his representative said:

"It's been raining a lot and the topsoil is loose," the spokesman said. "You know this president. He likes to go all out. Suffice it to say he wasn't whistling show tunes."

Now ignoring the homophobia for a moment, a quick surf over to the Weather Channel shows that Crawford, Texas (where Bush had his accident) hasn't seen a DROP of rain for over a week.

Click this link, look at the 7 day prior history, and the entry for "precip" -- which is 0 for the past week.

http://www.weather.com/activities/other/other/weather/yesterday.html?locid=USTX0307

In other words, they've lied. Even about something this small and stupid, this administration is terminally incapable of telling the truth. Lying is standard operating procedure!

4. Yeah, I'm beginning to think that if they said he crashed on a bike...
...because the soil was loose from rain and he wasn't singing show tunes, that what that ACTUALLY means is, he crashed on a pogo stick during a tornado while yodeling something from The Producers.

It's opposite day every day at the Crawford White House!

38. Did you notice the last picture...
US President George W. Bush (news - web sites), shown here <[b>March 6 at his Texas ranch, tumbled from his mountain bike during a ride on his ranch, scraping his chin, upper lip, both knees, his right hand and his nose.

:wtf: I don't remember this happening in March. Did they have this cover story all prepared back then but didn't roll it out until this incident warranted it? What happened in March and what did they say happened in March?????

there are NO photos of him on the bike before the "alleged" accident and I find that very strange. Rove would not let a photo-op like that go by, no way. This is another lie to cover up whatever it is that causes bush to consistently be covered in scrapes and bruises.

An aside, our Canadian news has been reporting this sequence: First, Michael Moore's win at Cannes and commenting that his movie is a "scathing indictment of the bush admin and then the next news item is bush falling off his bike, I couldn't help but laugh. The positioning of the two items was deliberate, I have no doubt.

21. Take a deep breath.
The entire world knows that Bush is the most compulsive and incessant liar in the history of American politics.

Bush claims that John McCain has an illegitimate Negro daughter and Bush said he would veto McCain-Feingold and the yawning boy was not there and was not yawning and besides he was standing some place else and Richard Clarke had complete access to Bush and Rice which proves that Clarke was out of the loop which is Clinton's fault but Clarke briefed the press on background about Bush fighting terrorism which means that unnamed White House sources may not be identified even when Bush wants to even if they criminally reveal the identity of a covert CIA employee and everyone except Bush himself knows where he was during his National Guard service but it was Clinton's fault that Bush did not show up for duty which was after Bush volunteered to go to Viet Nam but before he was no longer required to take a flight physical and about the same time that God ordered him to smite Saddam because the 60 lines of embryonic stem cells and more arsenic in the water and more mercury in the air prove that republican science is better than sound science and the Bush administration did not illegally conspire to illegally reveal the identity of a covert CIA operative which resulted in 2 million new jobs being created because democrats support terrorism and are not good Americans just as the Jews were not good Germans which is why Bush said he would veto the creation of both the Department of Homeland Security and the 9/11 Commission but now claims credit for their creation and the White House is cooperating with the 9/11 Commission which is why the White House withheld documents and called the republicans on the Commission before Clarke testified and why the White House is not coordinating the attacks on the integrity and bipartisanship of the Commission since the dental xrays prove that Bush spoke with the CIA director everyday and did not ignore either the repeated warnings of the dangers of al Qaeda and Osama or the August 2001 intelligence briefing specifically warning of the upcoming 9/11 attacks because the United States is a nation with a mission and that mission is to bring freedom to every single person in the world which will cut the deficit in half if you do not count those parts of the deficit which will increase under Bush which is Clinton's fault but the boxes from China were labeled "Made in USA" which resulted in 2.6 million new jobs being created even though the $400 billion decorative Medicare turkey was not labeled $550 billion and was passed without bribery or criminal deception and was not criminally promoted by the Bush administration using taxpayers' money which proves that government spending under Bush has gone down if you do not count the increased government spending under Bush which is Clinton's fault and Bush's plane to Baghdad was spotted because before Saddam bought the uranium and became an urgent but not an imminent threat which is Clinton's fault Bush had no plans on his desk to invade Iraq since the invasion was not planned before Bush took office even though it was the subject of his first national security council meeting and in December 2001 when plans for the invasion were being finalized Bush said he was focused on the military operations in Afghanistan and then the aircraft carrier was too far offshore for the Navy to make a large enough "Mission Accomplished" banner to describe the WMD we have found in Iraq some of which Saddam was giving to Osama for following Saddam's plans and using Iraqi hijackers on 9/11 which is Clinton's fault but everyone who pays income taxes got a tax cut which created 3 million new jobs and allowed Iraqi oil revenue to pay for the cost of the reconstruction of Iraq after the invasion by a small number of troops who would be greeted with floral program related activities except for the dead and wounded troops who are being brought home secretly which is Clinton's fault since Bush is the one who hugs the mothers and the widows and the wives and the kids and since Bush does not watch television news he did not know about the republican torture pranks occurring in Iraq until he saw the pictures while watching television news and that is why Bush who will use the jawbone of an ass to force OPEC to open the spigots and who is responsible for good economic numbers but not bad economic numbers or loose topsoil from heavy rains which are Clinton's fault wrote the poem that he did not write blaming Laura for dropping the dog.

There is no subject so somber, serious, or shallow that Bush will not lie about it. The only other option is not to lie. And that apparently is something Bush can not do.

Ridiculing Bush for his compulsive and incessant lying needs to become common.

FIRE THE LIAR

23. If John Kerry pointed out every single lie of this administration...
during the campaign, he wouldn't have time to talk about his agenda. There wouldn't be enough hours in the day to point out Bush's lies.

I grew up while Nixon was President and compared to Bush and company, Nixon was a rank amateur in the lying department.

If George W. Bush said it was sunny outside, I'd be forced to look out the window. If George W. Bush said it was Wednesday, I'd be forced to check the calendar.

BTW...the "show tunes" insult is yet another example of the blatant "we don't care one damn bit about the homos" homophobic mentality that reeks in this administration.

25. Sounds like a lie all around

The guy is wearing a helmet and mouthguard, but he's not wearing gloves. He has bandages on his palms. If he was wearing gloves, he wouldn't have cuts their during a fall (maybe bruises though).

The problem is ... EVERY sane cyclist wears gloves while cycling. Your telling me that not a SINGLE Secret Service agent asked the president to WEAR GLOVES while cycling???????

I don't think he was biking when he got those injuries. I think that he did something REALLY STUPID. Then, the Rovians thought up a story to turn Lemons into Lemonade. The story makes the President look like a rugged individualist.

I think he was drunk and fell down. That's all. Nothing more.

That "explanation" of how Bush injured himself was one of the most ridiculous, convoulted excuses I've ever heard.

I've never, for one minute, bought this "I suddenly gave up drinking after I found the Lord" business that Bush has been peddling. From what I've read of his drinking problem, it's alcoholism. Bush is an alcoholic, plain and simple. And yet, for obvious political reasons, he's never come out and said "I'm a alcoholic". And THEN, you had his mother going on television and denying he even HAD a drinking problem.

It just reeks to high heaven.

37. They WILL lie about everything
I just finished reading an article in the current issue of Harper's about the influence of philosopher Leo Strauss on the neocons.

Apparently according to Strauss, there are "elites" who are above ordinary humans and deserve by right to rule. The lesser humans have to be kept in line, but whatever the elites do, they're doing for the common good (lying about the weather to prevent the people from wondering if their leader is all right in the head, for example), so whatever they do is by definition all right.

46. Lying Ended
Lying ended the day Neocon Fukuyama's "End of History" was released in the late nineties.

I sincerely believe that, in their own minds, they don't frame what they're doing as lying. They are in fact pitching a world view invented by the PNAC -- it's might as well be a pre-scripted version of popular History (very post-modern politics). This is all in the name of Democracy of course -- and the rights of corporations to do whatever they want to make a buck.

They aren't lying. They're marketing a lense through which they want Americans to define ourselves and view the rest of the world.

And they intend to continue repeating it to us until it sinks completely in.
