Chalabi has Bush by the nuts
You gotta admire the balls of this guy. It's like the guy who kills his parents and applies for relief because he's an orphan.

Chalabi defends himself by saying, "Let's settle this with a Congressional investigation. Let the Bush administration bring their evidence and we'll bring ours." Good bluff by Chalabi. He knows Bush doesn't let out any information. Because EVERYTHING MAKES HIM LOOK STUPID!

Bush won't even allow terrorist intelligence documents from the Clinton administration be released to the 9-11 investigation.

Chalabi hammers it home by implying that the President of the United States would not be so stupid as to take advice from someone so insignificant as himself. (Would he?)

This of course is an example of why you don't make the dumbest guy in the country into the president, because he can be suckered.

4. he's got chutzpah all right
he's a slime bag but he's a pretty good guest on those stupid Sunday Morning shows.

He's just as much of a gangster as the Bushies, but a different kind.

It's funny how the neo-cons got conned. But I tell ya he might get in hot water in Iraq since has no constituancy. I would not be surprised if the people of Iraq try and take him out.

9. Don't forget chenney, the real president .
The Dick was in on it has been said by many , the naitivity and historical ignorance of these 'cowboys" was their fall , besides greed for oil, they were a 'drool'n over that. The Brits could of given insight , as it was their Vietnam in the 20's , and they left like in India then chaos , killing, tribal warfare. Many said No to Chalabi , Powell, State Dept , CIA , all said Chalabi was a 'dirty bird', still wanted for embezzelment in Jordan. But shrubco bent over, and Chalabi obliged and fed shrubie& chenney & wolfie & feith & rice what they wanted to hear, turning a deaf ear to the facts.

16. Anybody think the CIA is behind this?

The CIA hates Bush/Cheney, and have been working overtime
to make this post-war period as uncomfortable as possible
for them. I wonder, since Chalabi fed his info through
the "stovepipe," and now he's being targeted by the Bushies,
if he might be willing to turn over what he has to the CIA.

That would be lovely.

18. "Chalabi blames Tenet for feud with U.S."
http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/05/23/iraq.chalabi/

(CNN) -- Ahmed Chalabi, the former Iraqi exile who worked closely with the White House before the Iraq war, blamed CIA Director George Tenet Sunday for recent allegations that have apparently caused his standing with the Bush administration to plummet.

Speaking on CNN's "Late Edition," Chalabi also denied sending classified information to Iran, as has been alleged by the United States.

17. Chalabi the perfect fall guy
for this whole mess created by the BFEE. I hope he defends himself. Why shouldn't he? He'll definitely make a few more $ on the deal. Why not write a book or make a movie!

LOL!

20. What if this whole thing is a setup?
Chalabi's main motivation for getting rid of Saddam Hussein was so he could become the Iraqi dictator himself. Even though he left Iraq in the 50's and never went back until after the invasion, he somehow thought he had a "right" to rule Iraq.

I don't think his intentions have changed at all. Just his methods. Only question is whether the PNAC'ers are helping him with the ruse, or whether they really are out to get him.

23. Some at DU predicted this
About a year ago, when Chalabi made his American-taxpayer subsidized "Triumphant Return" to Bagdad (remember how photos of the "crowd" which cheered the tearing down of the statue of Saddam were found to be doctored, and to be comprised largely of Chalabi's groupies?) -- there were some of us here at DU who were darkly joking that it was just a matter of time before they turned on their Iraqi Charles de Gaulle and went all "Noriega" on him. It was inevitable -- even if Chalabi wasn't less popular than pork in Iraq.

Mind you -- Perle and others are still vigorously defending Chalabi. Perle has even escalated his denunciations of the CIA. DEEP schism in the adminstration between sanity and insanity, and insanity isn't going to give up without even destroying our country, if they have to....
