I'm not even going to snip any of this.... Just read the whole thing and wonder how this asswipe is still writing for the er...Liberal NYT!

He looks like a supervillain. He just has this air about him that screams 'run away before I build a giant magnet to pull a comet down to the earth unless you pay me ONE MILLION DOLLARS!'

If you just read that article, you'd think Chalabi was a cross between George Washington and Nelson Mandela. Whereas in fact he's the unholy offspring of Benedict Arnold and Ken Lay.

How can an honest columnist write about Chalabi without mentioning his conviction for multi-million dollar fraud? That he's admitted the intelligence he pedalled was all lies, for which he received more millions? An irrelevant question, I suppose - Safire must surely be on Chalabi's payroll to write such a paean.
