What would happen if Dems went to vote and they STAYED
Edited on Mon May-24-04 05:51 PM by SoCalDem
at the polling places.???

No need to count "ballots"..They would have the PEOPLE there to count ??

That would make for some red faces, when 200 votes showed up for Kerry, but there were 600 people standing there "waiting to be counted"..

Make it a "Day of festivities..clowns for the kiddies...refreshments...maybe some music.."

A regular voting Festival:)

2. good idea!
I thought it would be fun
to arrive at the polling place when they open
and, after casting my vote
setting up a booth outside
with paper ballots, or receipts if you will

and everyone who comes out can go ahead and fill one out
and then there you'd have it!

4. Yes, that is it
I've often thought to myself, if they refuse to count my vote, then I will deliver it to the white house in person!

But I like your idea better. Election day should be a party day anyway, and especially this year, when we must VOTE FOR OUR LIVES.

6. That is exactly what Americans did do over a 100 years ago!
The trouble was, three GOPers stabbed a Democrat to death at the election day party outside the polling place and it touched off a fight that lasted for thirty years! The man who was murdered at the polls was Mr Ellison Hatfield! The three young men who killed Mr. Hatfield were Tolbert, Pharmer and Randolph McCoy Jr.!
