Now we know why the networks didn't carry the speech.
Mainly because it's total bullshit. It's a propaganda speech for the war in Iraq. Justifying everything they have done. No a shred of humility from this administration, not a hint of sorrow. This is a sad time for our nation.

18. No local stations in Orlando carried it...LA surprises me...
...if anybody understands May sweeps, it should be the stations out there...but then, It began at 5pm your time, didn't it? Here, it would have cut into Fear Factor, The Swan, etc...

23. Not on here in Florida.
Even the local Fox affiliate showed the Swan finale rather than carry the speech

17. Probably prime time/time zone variable; east is too expensive to give away
West is "earlier", cheaper.

Way too bad. If millions more Americans had been forced by Shrub to watch his POS speech instead of the scheduled show - which they'd MUCH rather watch - then it would be even worse for President aWol.

Poor lifers sitting there! I really feel for them because, political view aside, almost everyone at Carlisle is very smart. A recognized fool like Shrub can be forgiven if the fear tightened up his throat and made him hoarse.

9. Nothing New
Well, there wasn't any news value in this speech ... that's why the broadcast networks didn't cover this event.

He just recaptiulated everything he has said before. Therefore, this was indeed just a campaign speech. The folks at the War College should be insulted that they were just used and manipulated as stage props for White House propaganda.

By the way, his delivery was uneven, he looked stiff, he did not look confident.

Bush will probably not move in the polls either way because of this speech ... in some ways a bigger let down for Bush ... he's becoming irrelevant.

19. Charleston, SC area, no non-cable channels aired it
Kinda wish they'd had, if it was as bad as it appears to have been. The nets, evidently, did bush* a favor by not airing his little "NOW I have an Iraq policy" show. I think it would hurt him more if people were forced to watch him - the more the better. He's his own worst enemy.

It was only 5PM and all stations have local news normally. ABC & NBC carried it. CBS did not, so I flipped and got the weather for tomorrow. 81! Yee haw.

21. Here in NYC all four majors rejected it.
It was on CSPAN, CNBC, MSNBC, and FOX News. I didn't even look on FOX, but do you think Rupert would pre-empt the finale of "The Swan" in order to promote this loser?

Not on ABC, PBS, CBS, or NBC.

24. Did Hitler Rise Again!

Looking at Bush it reminds me of what it must have been like to keep hearing Hitler say the same thing over and over again.

Bush is out of step, out to lunch and out of tune with the American people.

Out damn spot, Out!:wtf:
