Richard Perle on the Bush speech (Hannity & Colmes)

"Rhetorically, I believe he struck the right tone."

When Colmes challenged him and asked if this was simply an election speech, he replied "Well, it IS an election year...I think he believes that if the American people are properly informed, they WILL vote for him."

Colmes kept asking "what new information did we get tonight" and Perle kept ducking the question.

1. I guess that the reason he ducked that question was because...
We didn't actually get any new information. Because this administration can't let information out lest it horribly kill them!

2. Equal Time
"When Colmes challenged him and asked if this was simply an election speech, he replied "Well, it IS an election year...I think he believes that if the American people are properly informed, they WILL vote for him.""

-----

If that's the case and it was meant as a 'election speech' then Kerry should demand equal time.

4. Golly am I sick of that locution!
No, Count Perlecula, "the American people" will NOT vote for Bunnypants if they are informed. By "properly" informed, you mean "If they swallow the line of bullshit we're selling as filet mignon, then yes, the American people will vote for George W. Stupidhead."

Maybe we should institute a $5 million fine on any campaign that didn't win the last popular vote that appeals to the beliefs or the attitudes or the will of "the American people." You assholes don't care about the American people -- after all, they didn't elect you!
