Could 9/11 seriously have been an inside job?

I was doing my professional fundraising today. I took a call from some doctor, who I got a donation from. After talking to him about Public Citizen, he told me that there is something out there that if it got out could have Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Ashcroft in jail. He told me that the second plane launched a missile at the tower. It hit just as the plane was about to hit. I don't know what this means. But he told me about this website which would tell you that 9/11 was indeed an inside job. It has footage that shows a small thing which was supposed to be the afforementioned missile. He also said that the second plane may not have been a commercial plane. My jaw was on the floor. It may be possible but I have a hard time thinking that even the Bush administration would commit such a gross betrayal of America. He told me about this website that was started April 15. Judge for yourself. It looks interesting. I am not ready to pass judgement on it yet.

This has been a staple here for a while. I don't have the link to the site, as I found it rather ridiculous, although I do think Bush did it, in some way, shape or form. There are too many coincidences, contrivances and just plain wierd unexplained stuff not to at least give it some serious thought.

I thought a LIHOP was entirely possible but I never would have thought that they would try to make it happen with such impunity as the website suggests.

First, nobody who loaded baggage, fueled the plane, or did the final inspection on the ground noticed anything, nor did the control tower. Perhaps the mean ole gummint has a cloaking device?

Second, that film is grainy and crummy, but the shape reflecting the light looks square, not like a missile. It looks like the idiot at the controls hit the wrong switch and opened the main landing gear bay. The plane would have hit before the gear had time to deploy.

Third, the plane was traveling at 500 MPH. A missile wouldn't have had time to arm and detonate at that speed, and the plane would have needed computers and proximity detectors to be able to fire it with such close timing.

Fourth, what earthly reason would there have been to attach a missile to a plane fully loaded with jet fuel? THAT was the missile, folks, not some fantasy spun from a grainy piece of film.

9/11 was LIHOP, not MIHOP. This bunch squatting in the halls of power aren't smart enough to have pulled it off.

As far as I can tell the video at letsroll911.org is a fake. It seems to me that this is yet another bogus theory designed to smear any of the more legitimate LIHOP speculation.

The whole idea that the airplane was switched and launched a missile seems a little ridiculous.

But I do not know how to explain the bulge on that plane. I've asked on DU for alternate explanations. Nobody has one. The only answer is that the picture is grainy. But the resolution is plenty clear to show that there's an anomaly.

I can also see the flash that's supposed to represent the missile at point-blank range. It's not as clear -- only a couple of frames -- but it's not how I would expect a normal collision to look.

I can't answer all the questions. But neither will I dismiss visual evidence just because what I can't believe my eyes. The jury is still out.
